Get the large one. It made tramming my mill a whole lot quicker/easier. Sure, you'll go crazy trying to get that last .0001 tilt out, but it will be close enough. I use my mill to bore small motorcycle and scooter cylinders. I set the cylinder up on the mill, center it with a dial indicator, and then run the dial indicator down the cylinder wall to check for tilt. Comes out pretty much dead straight. My opinion, for the money, it is a good deal. **Q: Where is this made?** A: Your question got me curious. After 30 minutes of digging, I have no idea. There is nothing in the description, on the website, or in the documentation included with the item that suggests a hint of its origin. **Q: What is the point to point dimension from indicator to indicator?** A: Each dial indicator has a 5 inch spread between the two tips. I do wish that it was about 12-20 inches wide but it would cost so much more. Opening my package that shipped Directly from Edge, the outer box wrapping is of high quality stock covering a excellent plastic case.The case uses hinge points on both the clasps and hinge instead of the cheapo thin film hinge used by most other manufactures that shear over time, this and the high quality tool make this an excellent value.The foam cutout is crisp and snug fitting, the included calibration magnet come in its own protective tube. Used it on my bridgeport which i struggle to get within 5 thousandths using a spindle mounted dial gage. Quickly got within a thousandth on both axis in a fraction of time!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not sure I understand the negative reviews... truly an outstanding product!! *by E***2 on August 15, 2020* Not sure I understand the negative reviews. True, there are many ways to tram a mill, but none are as efficient as with this tool. Using my Indicol and Starrett last word, it took 20 mins to get the head dead square to less than a mil. With this tool, it takes less than a minute. --As they say, time is money.The problem with all single dial gage methods is as you tighten the bolts, the head invariably moves a half-thousandths or so. When you do your double check after everything has been tightened down, it never fails that the squareness is off. So you have to go back and re-tram the head again until you get it right. It wastes so much time that I found less than ideal ways to mill angles because it took so much time to re-square the head.Double gages are a great old time machinist trick and is the reason I now have two Starrett last words to also square the vise in the horizontal plane. The two gages give immediate feedback and allows you to correct real time.Really a nice product and very well built. The only minor gripe I have is that the shaft is 0.003" under.
