LOVE THIS WHITE BLOUSE! Beautifully made, quality fabric, fit well! LOVE it!
I love it so much that I'm going to order two more for me, and two for the Best Mom in the World because she liked it so much on me.Size XL fit perfect for me, a little loose, but I didn't expect, nor did I want skintight. For what it's worth I'm giving my stats because just telling people it fits or it doesn't, it's too long or short, it's too this or that doesn't mean squat to me if the reviewer doesn't give us a frame of reference. *takes a deep breath and jumps in*" 5' 6", 212 lbs, more on the bottom than top, but this fit well. Me: 40-35-49, BMI: nyob but you can guess, lol.Through no fault of this blouse, I always have the problem of blouses poofing out at the small of my back because my waist is smaller than my beeeehind if ya know what I mean... a tailor once described me (when 160 lbs) as having an "onion butt". Hmph. The fabric is good quality, the construction is good quality, the seams are finished (SUCH a good indication of quality construction). If I take it straight out of the dryer (without overdrying of course) I don't have to iron it, but since I enjoy ironing -I really do- I iron it most times.Just so's you know, I also got one in pink and one in green. The pink is a lovely muted pink and it's a keeper. The "willow" green, however, is electrifyingly lime green. Nothing willow about it and is just an uncomfortably bright shade for me. I'm hoping the seller takes it back for an exchange in color.Bottom Line: FABULOUS WHITE Devon & Jones Women's 3/4 Sleeve Poplin Blouse, WHITE, X-LargeETA: based on a comment from a very gracious person below (thank you!) I have to add this in case my description offended anyone. After googling, I found that I offended myself, lol! THIS IS WHAT I MEANT BY Onion Butt: small waist, curving out to ample rear end. THAT's what I meant! Oh, please, nobody google that - it's not what's described out there now. :( I never knew those definitions existed. The seamstress who described me as having an onion butt made that comment waaaaay back in the 80's before the internet existed for us.

Flattering once you figure out the sizing, these run big.
I had ordered a couple of these some years ago and returned them because they were so long, nearly tunic length. I saw some recent reviews complaining they were short, so I took a chance that they'd been re-styled. I have to say the ones I just got in, while on the longish side are not as terribly long as before. I had a heck of a time finding a Devon and Jones sizing chart, had to google it in Images to locate one! Once I found it I ordered true to my dress size, but had to return one and try again - they definitely run big! I ended up going down a size, which is just a smidge tight but the material is stretchy so it doesn't matter. I find that if you can get a good fit on these hey are quite flattering, it was worth the headache of ordering a couple different sizes to figure out the best fit. The size up, the one I returned, was way too boxy on me, but the size down accents my waist nicely.

COLORS DO NOT MATCH PHOTOS OF BLOUSES
These shirts are mostly as advertised, except for the colors. In the photos, many of the colors seem soft and pale. They are not. The colors are more saturated than the photos suggest. I got the "Wild Geranium", "Azalea", "Peony", and "White". The White blouse is the only one that matches the photograph. The pink is a deeper, saturated hue- closer to a, almost, Pepto-Bismal pink, without the neon quality. It is not an unpleasant pink, but it is not a pale, powdery pink. The Azalea color is truer to a lighter lavender. Not bad, but not a pale color. The Peony is a more saturated blue, akin to a sky blue. Again, a pleasant color, but not as pale as the picture would lead you to believe. All in all, they are comfortable, pretty blouses. I tried them on when they arrived, but I have not washed them yet. The give is just right, and the cotton material is a good weight-not too sheer and not too heavy/stiff.I would recommend this blouse to anyone looking for a good, versatile, everyday blouse for work or play.

I love the color of the French Blue shirt
I love the color of the French Blue shirt. I was worried about the purchase after reading several reviews on how poorly it washed and wore. So I paid attention to the washing instructions that state wash in cold water and drip dry, which I did. I put it in a cool tumble dryer for 5 or so minutes because I was hoping it might shrink a tad. It may have, but all in all in is remaining true to its original size. I ironed after dry on a setting 3 and had no problems with wrinkles, and no greater wrinkles occurring during normal wear than what you would expect for a shirt that was not advertised as wrinkle-free. For any item of clothing, pay attention to the washing instructions.Did I say I love the French blue color, I think it complements many different skin types

Nice Shirt if You Like to Iron or if You Ignore the Drying Instructions
The size is accurate, the color is accurate and it's a nice quality. The washing instructions are: Machine wash cold with like colors. Do not bleach. Line dry. Touch up with cool iron. Do not dry clean. I followed the instructions, and when it was dry it was completely wrinkled. I tried a cool iron, which did nothing. I had to iron it at the highest setting. Twice. The material is 97% cotton and 3% spandex. I have several other shirts with that combination, all of which say to tumble dry low. The next time I washed it, I dried it on the low setting. It came out much better. If you're really particular It could probably still use a touch up with an iron, but I'm not really particular, so it was good enough for me. So far I've washed and dried it twice with no problems.

Practically no wrinkles, though the blouse didn't look starched flat.
Devon & Jones Pink Three-Quarter-Sleeve Stretch Poplin Blouse. Beautiful, vibrant colour. The washing machine water turned red during the first wash. The blouse stayed just as bright as before. I pulled it out of a low setting dryer just when it was damp but not sopping wet, and hung it up. Practically no wrinkles, though the blouse didn't look starched flat. The bust of the size Large shirt measured 42" and the shoulder measurement was 16.5". It shrank a bit after washing in cool water: 41" bust and 16" shoulders.

Perfect fit, very comfortable
Iโve bought 3 of these so far, love this shirt. Fits perfectly with the right amount of stretch. Washes nicely, no ironing required even when hung to dry. Very comfortable to wear casually or to work.
