Montessori: A Modern Approach

This book gave a good overall picture of the Montessori method. As a parent of a child who struggled in the traditional US public school system, to see the significant changes in my child in such a short time prompted this quick research and collection of as many sources as possible to help support my child’s learning experience at his new school. I will definitely be reading more about the method.

This book has become like a companion to me in clarifying the basics in Montessori system of education. I will definitely recommend to anyone starting in education.

It is a handy book for Montessori, it's my favorite to offer people when they don't know about Montessori, I personally suggest this book to all the students in my early childhood program, Teacher training. Before we start the course every season.

Was expecting something else, a bit more practical so it was somewhat disappointing. The most detailed part was regarding writing and reading.

It is not the easiest read but the easiest I know of explaining Montessori. I visited my sister's Montessori school often before she retired and didn't realize how important the teacher's timing is in introducing material to the student until I read this book.

This is an essential text for Montessori teachers.

Not so great because it has highlighted throughout the entire book. It has a different cover than what is shown on Amazon. But I am glad I ordered it. Thank you.

One of the best books written on Montessori practice. Both reflective and practical, full of useful insights. Highly recommended to Montessori teachers and to any parents who want to know a bit more about Montessori teaching methods. Lots of practical advice for teachers, very inspiring for parents keen to extend children's learning in the home environment. This book helped me a lot after a couple of years of practice when I was reflecting a lot on my practice and looking for ways to improve it. It made me more confident and eager to move forward.

The book would be very useful. but footnote numbers are missing from the text, making notes and bibliographic reference unusable. For an important book like this, the omission is unacceptable.
