After painstakingly converting several baseboard diffusers to floor registers, I happened upon this extra high diffuser. The 5-1/4" baseboard tucks nicely right up to it and looks SO much better than a sloppy cut-around job like I've seen in countless flips. While floor registers have a high end look, they simply do not diffuse the air as efficiently as a baseboard diffuser, so I'll keep the floor registers in the living areas, and I'm using these diffusers in the bathrooms and laundry room. They are nicely painted bright white and look clean and updated. Only complaint is the price. I was able to find the 18" diffusers at a really good price from one particular supplier, but nobody seems to be discounting the 15" diffusers, so replacing all of them in your home at $25-30 a pop could become a bit pricey. Shipped quickly and well packed. Price could be a bit better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stands higher than the new 5 1/4" base. *by H***F on February 27, 2021* I am in the process of upgrading my base moulding from the original 3 1/2" to 5 1/4". The original base defuser was taller than the 3 1/2", (4" it think), but not any more. This new defuser is 5 1/2" in height, just what I was looking for. It also looks like the old defuser. My duct work is tight against the wall and I didn't want to run the base behind it. That didn't look right plus it went across the duct opening.
