After bleaching the area of her hair she wanted colored, I then applied the 3 Manic Panic shades. The color took to the bleached hair really well. It looks really good along side the Lie Locks and Mystic Heather colors we also used. It made for a kind of mermaid color pallet. I've added a photo to the customer images of how her hair turned out. Thanks.** A: The turquoise is the most vibrant of the colors and it lasts the longest by far. You do not need to lighten darker hair but it will only tint over whatever color you have so if you want a bright turquoise result you'll need to lighten. I have ginger hair and I lighten my tips only and ombré the turquoise in. It's pretty easy to do. Just search you tube for bleach ombré tutorials. **Q: Is this permanent dye? How long does the color last, roughly?** A: It depends on your hair type, and how you treat your hair. For me, my colours last until I want to change them (roughly 3-6 months). If you blow dry your hair, or use styling products, or are in the sun frequently, the colour will last a shorter amount of time. If you want to extend the colour, wash in cold water (yeah, I know. eek!), avoid previously mentioned things, and add a little colour to your conditioner. If you need to get the colour out, you can wash in very warm water with a clarifying shampoo, a mixture of dawn soap and baking soda, or use a soap cap. (This involves a little bleach, so only do this if you really need to get it out.) **Q: I'm going for a light pink, what color would work best for dirty blonde? do i have to bleach it?** A: I would go with the cotton candy over this, if you want a light color. I have dirty blonde hair and I have never bleached or lightened it and I get great results from Manic Panic. Lesson learned! And for a little jar I was able to do the ombre like I wanted as well as two boys' hair (one of which was a full head and a high and tight sort of haircut), longer hair of course I would suggest two bottles. The only way you would be able to get the color in the swatch is if you have pale/platinum blonde or white hair, but the longer you leave it the best result. Shipping was fast, it was coming from LA to Va Beach and it only took about three days and arrived a day before the estimated date. It also leaves your hair conditioned and a little more better shape feel wise after the bleaching.
