What does “made in the USA or imported” mean?

It may mean assembled in the USA with American & foreign pieces etc. but it is not totally made in the USA just assembled by Americans in the US.

How quick do they dry if you wash them in the sink?

If you wash and hang them up to dry, it was about 30-40 minutes from my experience.
