Very VERY LIGHT! has POWERED ROLLER and super easy to EMPTY!
THIS IS PERFECT VACUUM FOR: = Prefect for Elderly person who has problem with lifting and pushing heavy vacuums. I got it for my elderly neighbor who is super sweet and kind and she always struggles with her old upward big heavy and noisy vacuum cleaner. She was moved to tears by the gift after she used it for the first time. She said this is exactly what she was looking for and did not k now how to find it. It is very light but it does great job picking up things. It has motorized roller brush so that is the whole difference between the other light small vacuums that are junk because you still have to push them hard to move about. This puppy runs itself and you only control where it goes. Picks up dirt wonderfully. = It is perfect for anyone who is WEAK or ILL or otherwise does not have strength to operate heavy vacuum cleaners. Again, the magic is in the motorized roller that propels this thing so you only help a little to direct where do you want it to go. Also because it is SO SUPER LIGHT, like a feather that you really don't need to strain your heart or muscles or skeletal system to make it go. = It is perfect for young kids some 8 plus who can already help around the house and are ready to move on from a little kids broom to serious tool but are not quite into the management of a big and powerful vacuum cleaner. It is so much fun to work it and see the clean room behind. = It would be prefect for anyone who has a small space and need a quick and easy pick up tool now and then. So here is my bottom line.. DEFINITE PROS: - It is feather light - It can do great job on hardwood and carpet - it is easy to clean as all you have to do is open and empty little container, just shake it off into the trash. - it is two in one, just as it is a stick vacuum it is also a hand held vacuum, you just detach the hand and you have a handy small hand held vacuum. - the brush is motorized which is not only easy to maneuver as it propels the vacuum but also does great job picking up stuff from the carpets and hard wood floors and anything in-between. - does great job with pet hair but you will have to clean the roll now and then with scizors to cut out the hair that will roll on it but unless you have bug bucks vaccum every vacuum has the same issue. CONS: - If you consider the job it is meant for then there are no really any cons. - It is NOT designed for big mess or very dirty carpets as it won't penetrate the carpet as deep as the huge vacuum with huge suction power but for normal day to day carpet dirt pickup it is perfect. - it fills out after few days so you need to shake out the little compartment but not a big problem just one click. Overall it is PERFECT light feather vacuum that is ideal for anyone, a handy work horse modern broom really.

Little but mighty
I usually don't give reviews on items, although this item is such a handy item to have in the house. I have had this for a couple weeks now, and it works wonderful on hardwood and other bare floors and also on area rugs and small rugs. Not sure how it would work on shag or thicker pile rugs. Dirt Devil has been around for years and I haven't ever had one, but I can remember my Mom had a handheld one and it had power and worked well, which is another reason for me purchasing this one. The Pros: It's electric, lightweight, and has the power for what it was needed for. The features I noticed that could be improved on this is a longer cord, bigger dust cup that's easier to remove and put on , and if it didn't need the little filter in it. If Dirt Devil comes out with an upgraded version of this vacuum, I am buying it. I've had a lot of vacuums and was looking for a "stick or broom" style, and I'm glad this one didn't have the dust cup at the top of the handle or in the back of the vacuum. The style with the dust cups at the top of the handles are top heavy and most of them won't stay standing upright, and to me they're awkward to use, which is frustrating. And almost all these types of vacuums are made this way and hardly any was electric. Just the reason I didn't purchase any of them. So if you need a small lightweight vacuum with more power then I thought it would have for bare floors and most rugs, this one does well for that. Oh, it's great at getting dust bunnies and very easy to maneuver.

Light weight and perfect for an apartment or dorm. Has great suction power and gets up almost everything. Easy to clean, store, and pick up. Perfect for someone who can't lift heavy objects or for a college student.

So far, so good!
First, I will share my semi-cons. It’s a bit tricky (ie, not so easy to snap the handles together on the stick. Also, getting the actual vacuum unit to stay attached to the stick was tricky. We had to hold the vacuum cleaner upside down and hit the handle hard into our floor so that the stick went fully and firmly into the vacuum itself. Now the Pros. It’s got good suction power. It’s a big plus that you can choose only suction, or suction with the roller brush. I say this because I bought the vacuum solely for use on our very low pile carpet squares that cover our front entrance hallway and my wife’s home office area. Our powerful upright vacuum was ripping the carpet right off of the squares, so we had to do something! Thankfully, this little Dirt Devil seems to do a reasonable job in giving the carpet squares a vacuumed look. Of course, we have only use the Dirt Devil for ONE day. I pray it holds up for years, seeing we only will use it in this limited way.

A great light utility and Specialty vacuum!
Dirt Devil Express Light Stick vacuum is a keeper! A great lightweight utility or spot vacuum usage. It can't be beat. Can be used as a hand vacuum or floor vacuum that actually has working rollers. Common Sense design (with excellent functionality) and easy to set up and use. I have a big old school Kirby upright vacuum that is great as my primary vacuum, yet hard to get around nooks and crannies work for simple spot cleaning or cleaning for one or two rooms quickly. Recently my 100% indoor cat somehow got fleas... and I wanted a separate vacuum to do daily vacuuming (+ baking soda) treatments. Although the vet treated the cat successfully, I still needed to SAFELY break the cycle of frea eggs growing to mature adult fleas in the carpets and furniture. Look up flea treatment for carpets on YTube for details. The Dirt Devil was perfect for this. I could easily "clean the dirt out of the after each use". My primary upright (old school Kirby) bag vacuum would have cost me $$$$ in additional replacement bags. Converting to the hand vacuming option easily allowed me to vacuum the upholstery and other chairs that the house. I will update this review in case there's any more to add overall. So far things are great Thanks to the Dirt Devil Power Express. GENERAL (common sense) TIPS: • CLEAN the rollers from time to time, especially in the corners where any vacuum rollers would eventually bind up. • EMPTY & CLEAN it after every use. • I'm not sure of the duty cycle, yet limit your usage to 15 minutes at a time and you won't put a strain on the motor. PROS: • Lightweight & easy to maneuver under furniture. • Great bang for the buck! • Rollers are decent (be sure to clean rollers). • Has a clear top roller base so as to see and monitor the rollers in use. • Quieter than a full-sized vacuum. • Cord length is average (it's quite Ok). • Will stand up in closet, or hang up with attached hanger hook. • Great way to teach children and grandchildren (when old enough) how to clean the house, buy them their own. • Great for older individuals who require a very lightweight utility vacuum for typical cleanups around the house. CONS: None if you use it as a lightweight utility vacuum. PLEASE NOTE: For comparison's sake, it's not a $600+ Dyson vacuum... that actually COSTS OVER 12 times as much as the Dirt Devil Power Express "Lite" stick vacuum. Some reviewers complain about the noise, cord length, roller base does not lock when vacuuming or the rollers stop working (if you don't clean them occasionally). REALLY? Vacuums are not hard to maintain, yet easy to abuse if you neglect them... IMHO.

Dirt Devil Dynamo - Sort Of
I still like this vacuum but after buying a 3rd one as a gift for my brother, I have to update my review. Both my son and brother liked the vacuum but after about a month of use it stopped working as well as it did at the beginning. The brushes wouldn't turn when on the correct setting. They each bought replacement units. For the past week, I've been having the exact same problem. The tiniest bit of thread wrapped around the roller makes it stop. I guess I am more patient, I keep cleaning it and using it. I can't complain too much because of the pretty low price, but I won't buy another of this same model. Great little vacuum with a lot of functionality, especially considering the low price! This is the second one I've purchased, my son took the first one to his college apartment. It's so light weight and easy to use, vacuuming is quick and easy, much less of a chore than dragging out the full size vacuum. Highly recommend!

What a piece of junk!!! Hopefully I just got a bad one.
Update 5/30 Just wanted to point out how wonderful amazon has been. Contacted them today to tell them about my defective vacuum and they quickly credited my account and arranged for me to send the defective model back. Since they are now out of stock I just took my money back. Bought this model instead. Works wonderfully. Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum, 169B - Corded https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000067E3F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XcJlzbP0M6ZTR Just tried it out. Wow much better! Filter is much larger than dirt devil so it does not seem to lose suction. Update 5/29 First time out it worked great. You can read my review below. I was pleased. Second use, the brush roll stopped turning and smoke came out of where the brush is. Turned it off. Turned it back on. Brush turned. Then stopped turning. Lots of smoke this time. I looked. Nothing stuck inside. And I was using it for very light use. Clearly the motor burned out. Not wanting to risk a fire I turned it off. So it's broken during second use. How could anything be made this poorly? Figured I would order an exchange. But the shipping time is now 1 to 2 months. That's a little too long to wait. Hopefully amazon will be willing to refund me. I've only had it a week. The customer support line in the manual was useless. No one here could help me. Wanted me to ship it back at my expense in original packaging, which I don't have. And I've only had it a week and used it once. How could something break this quickly? Wish there was a 0 star rating. Original review. I have a small house. Mostly braided rugs. My old big vacuum is worn out. So I figured I'd try this since I've had the battery version of a similar product for many years. But the battery version doesn't have much power anymore. I'm quite pleased with this. Assembly was easy. Seems to be nice and light but pretty well built. Also has good suction. I do have a couple complaints. The dust all seems to get stuck up by the top of the canister near the filter. Clogs up the filter pretty quickly and then loses suction. The filter needs to be bigger and have more much more surface area. Needs to be emptied and then shaken out often.

Recomiendo para tapered de casa.
Si tienes tapetes en casa y perritos que sueltan pelito la recomiendo ampliamente. Levanta polvo y pelitos sin problema. Ligera y fácil de guardar.

This is a defective unit.
It is a defective unit. From the first use, I turned it on and started vacuuming. A few minutes later, I smelled a burning smell, but thought it might be because it was new. But shortly after, fire came out of the engine and it stopped working. Very disappointed.

Impressive
The main level in our home is mainly hardwood flooring. Sometimes brooms just don’t cut it, leaving crumbs and other morsels behind, yet, you don’t exactly need a vacuum. You need almost a hybrid of the two, which is what I was eying this up for. So far, I have no complaints with this little vacuum broom. The chord length is impressive (let’s face it, most cleaning products or small appliances neglect to give you a functional length of chord, however this was a great length which surprised me. I had no problem cleaning from room to room very easily). The motor is shrill, but seems fairly powerful. I was surprised with how much it had picked up with the first use. It picks up on hardwood floors, corners, and tight edges along baseboards very well. It is compact, easy to use, easy to clean filter, and easy to put together (it literally took me 2 minutes to assemble). I haven’t used the handheld feature yet, but I assume this would also be great for corners, small spills, and also for cleaning vehicles. My model did not come with the pet attachment, but I am strongly considering buying it separately as we are soon to be welcoming a puppy to our home. Overall, I am very pleasantly pleased and surprised with this product, also considering a great price point. Highly recommend!

Very light and very compact.
This vacuum is for light cleanup, if you have animals or large messes it might not be the best. But if you have a small apartment or just want to do some spot cleaning this vacuum works well. It has its own filter and it is a small cup so you have to clean the filter after each use. Very happy with the product, does the trick for what I needed for.
