Mounts Easy, Adjusts Well and Maintains Zero
This scope is reasonably priced and has some nice features such as a two color illuminated aperture and wide range of power. The single power appears to be a true non-magnified image permitting sighting with both eyes open when using the illuminated aperture. The scope came securely attached to the mount and was mounted to a true level. It mounted easily to the Picatinny Rail and I was able to get the proper eye relief at full power to keep the scope on the receiver and not mount it to the forearm. I initially sighted-in the scope at 50 meters and the first three shot group was within three inches of the point of aim and the group was less than one inch in diameter. The windage and elevation scope adjustments brought the next three shot group right at the point of aim. I fired a total of 40 rounds at 75 meters after the sighting-in process and the groups did not drift but remained tight at the point of impact. Three shot groups measured between 3/4 inches and 1-1/4 inches shooting with the scope at maximum power. A five shot group fired at a 10 inch round AR500 steel target at 75 meters with the illuminated sight at one power measured under one inch. The target fit perfectly within the lighted aperture. This is a great scope and is very functional especially considering the attractive price.

Well built, metal lens covers, BDC turrets for 55gr 223 and 168gr 308
Definitely a hefty scope but it's worth it. Flip up caps are made of thick aluminum and held with magnets so just a light flick and they pop open. Good feel on turrets and lighted reticle only lights up the center circle not entire reticle. Seems there's a couple versions of this some are marked with a scale and some have the color and number of brightness for reticle. Mounted it and threw bore laser in and it was only off a couple clicks to the right! The included mount and the eye relief let's you get to charging handle without blocking it at all. Looks good and matches my rifle black exactly. Clear view from 1 to 6X Definitely right for the price! The reticle they show in the one pic is the 1 to 4X reticle I think. I'll post a pic of the actual reticle for the 1 to 6X scope.

A good bargain scope, if weight isn't an issue
This scope has one well documented drawback - it's heavy. Noticeably heavier than my CT Hardline 1-8x 34mm mounted on another rifle. I wouldn't choose the TRUGLO as a primary optic for an AR-15 carbine for that reason, but as a secondary optic for specific purposes, it's fine. The supplied mount is OK, but I needed a quick detach, so it's paired with a Monstrum Hypergrip cantilever mount. The Monstrum maintained zero through several mount/dismount tests. Most of these lower end LPVOs get pretty murky at the high end and the TRUGLO is good up to 4X, which is all I need for a 5.56 carbine. Don't see the point of putting a 500 yard capable scope on a 300 yard rifle. The optics are surprisingly good on a sub $150 optic, as good as on my more expensive Crimson Trace Hardline. The illuminated reticle is usable in daylight with the green setting at max. Off the bench @ 100 yards, the TRUGLO @ 4X produced several 1 inch five shot groups with PMC 55 gr. FMJ ammo - pretty good for a untuned 16 inch carbine. I zeroed it at that distance, but I haven't tested the accuracy and repeatability of the 223 BDC turret. If it works out to 300 yards and consistently returns to the 100 yard zero, I may bump my rating up to 5 stars. Stay tuned.

Good quality at great price
Purchased this for my Del-ton Alpha .308 MLOK rifle. Unboxing I noticed how nice the finish was on the scope. I then removed the .223 turret and replaced it with the .308 turret. The set screws were all tight and after removing them I used thread locker just in case. The adjustment clicks were audible and turrets locked tightly. Mounting on my rifle I looked over the included base and rings, they all looked very beefy. The base clamped tight to the rail. The glass on the scope is very clear with no distortion at the edges. I have owned Bushnell, primary arms and Sig optics. The optical quality of the truglo was just as good. I love the reticle and the illumination worked fine on both colors. The reticle is etched so it is always visible. The included throw lever for magnification is a nice touch as well. It moved smoothly through the magnification range. I will update this review after live fire. However what I have seen so far is a home run for the price! Update*** I moved this scope to my Springfield Armory Saint Victor .308 rifle. After 200 rounds of 7.62x51mm ball ammo; the scope has kept zero. No problems with the mount or rings getting loose either.

It's pretty good, but it's heavy
I like it. I bought this to test the LPVO waters to see if I would like it. This one was fairly inexpensive and had some pretty good features, especially for a 223 or 308. It's not the brightest at full magnification and has pretty harsh eclipse at that setting. The low power is fantastic though. At 1x, both eyes open works really well. The green dot is super bright, the red dot is not. There is an off setting in two places 180° from each other with the bright setting of one color next to the low setting of the other. I set it where clockwise one click is full red, and a click counterclockwise is dim green and that makes the brightness pretty level. The reticle is pretty good, even without the power on in good light conditions. I ended up liking LPVO's so much, I wish I would have just stepped up in price and quality. This is great quality in this price range. Its probably worth mentioning that it's heavy enough to beat someone if all else fails.

On target every time
This scope is top notch for the money. Clear lenses, excellent reticle. Target knob are crisp and have a positive click when moved. Scope is easy to mount and zero. If you’re looking for a 300 yard scope and lower. This one can not be beat.

Loved it, here’s why....
First of all let me just state how surprised I was with this scope. Most of the time when I mount a scope on my rifle it will usually be Nikon, Vortex or Trijicon. I have a Millett 1x4 Designated Marksman Scope which I believe it is much more inferior than this scope. I was quite surprised with the clarity of the glass and the brightness of the reticle. I have been hesitant about purchasing any 1x4 or 1 x 6 scopes because of the lack of brightness of the reticle when I’m using it at 1x power and working in the sun. Trust me I have looked at many. The scope is very well constructed and very durable. I like the fact that it has an extended throw lever which makes it much quicker to operate. Lever operation is very smooth compared to my Millett scope which is like trying to move a car that has died on the road. Even though this is mounted on the 9 mm carbine I like the fact that it has turrets for both .223 and .308 ammunition. The scope can easily be moved around various platforms that I own which made it an even more desirable buy. I was able to zero my carbine very quickly. I adjusted and locked down the turrets after Zeroing the scope and then off I went. I was shooting sub MOA groups at 25 yards with holes touching holes and holes inside of holes. Shot over 200+ rounds and it maintained zero flawlessly. Since I had read the reviews prior to purchase I inspected all of the lockdown screws upon unboxing. Found two screws that weren’t completely tightened on the scope rings and two on the turret caps. And that was easily resolved with the Allen wrenches that are provided. I made sure that they were all torqued down to spec with my Wheeler Fat Wrench. I will be using blue Loctite on all screws in the coming week, time permitting. It is true that the scope is a little heavier but not enough to make a significant difference in my shooting. Also love the fact that it has both red and green options for the reticle. This scope operates at or even better as a pertains to other scopes that are designated for this type of duty for sometimes half the price. Tru Glo just needs to make sure of their quality assurance and do more detailed inspections of their products prior to leaving the factory for sale to the public. Don’t hesitate, go ahead and pull the trigger because you won’t regret it.

Solid LPVO for the price
Bought this when I decided that I needed an LPVO for 3-gunning instead of just a red dot on my rifle. (Radical Arms RF-15 (.556)) Pros: - Easy to mount - Easy to sight in - Flip up covers for both front and back lenses - Has held zero through 3 seasons of 3 gunning (The variation I see past 50 yards is probably my shooting skill or lack thereof) - Red and green illumination - Adjustable illumination intensity - Price Meh/unknown - You get a little distortion at 6x, but 1-3x is crystal clear and spot on - Ruggedness - I haven't dropped the rifle or anything on the optic, so I don't know how tough it is, and hope I never have to find out. Cons - Battery, not battery life. The battery that it came with lasted through 2 seasons without needing to be changed. But when I needed to change it, the brand new duracell battery I put in didn't work. I tried 2 more that came with the pack and they didn't work either even though the battery tester said they were all good. After investigating further, it was PROBALBLY the contacts, because after I scrubbed the contacts and a new battery with steel wool (Be careful if you do this, it is easy to short across the wool), it worked again. However, the first dozen or so shots it would flicker off and on, but eventually settled down and worked as expected. Overall, very happy with this optic. If they came out with a 1-10x, I would definitely purchase.
