It really does layer on Silver. The Silver really does stay. It is metal. Now, back to Middle Earth. It has as much micro-Silver as you might expect from a liquid. It does not 'plate' silver in the thickness to ward off dragons. It does cover old and bare metal, for me taking a few applications. Rub it in. Work it out (the leftover de-Silvered matter) and marvel at the black left-overs of the chemical process. Rinse and then with a nice bamboo soft cloth lightly buff. Shine! Wear sunglasses! So, my plated silverware is definitely renewed. It is metal. It's great! And a little bit goes on nicely. Comes off nicely. I can easily recommend this. If you want total 're-plating', well, either find a company that does this or a Wizard! It will set you back a lot of lizards to do that thought. For the cost, this is a great value and product.
