This ant mound killer outdoor formula contains bait to attract fire ants and starts to kill ants immediately. These Amdro ant killer granules are ideal for mound treatment in the yard, garden, and other outdoor areas. With Amdro Fire Ant Killer for Mounds, worker ants carry it into the mound as food for the colony. They eat it and feed it to the queen. In about a week, the queen is dead, which destroys the mound. These granules are a granular bait for ant infestation control, ant colony control, and lawn care in spring on ant hills and yards. For over 40 years, Amdro has been providing pest control products for ants, spiders, cockroaches, grubs, mosquitoes, carpenter bees, and more. With our tested formulas, homeowners can feel confident their pest problem is handled and get back to their life. Review: Works great. - Android is the best for fire any remediation. It’s easy to use and does not need water. This 2 pound container will treat a lot of ant mounds. Review: This Amdro used to be in a white plastic container. I thought it was gone forever couple years ago. - Thought I lost my favorite ant killer years ago. Turned out it changed packaging... Tried all season to get rid of the fire ants in my front and back yard, just to have them increase 10 fold. Used this Amdro, that changed packaging, and 4 days later, thousand and thousands of ants are all gone. It was so bad, the street was covered with them too. I thought it was out of control. But not for Amdro. Please don't change the package again.... While instructions vary by product, it is recommended that you do not apply the product while pets are in the treatment area. However, you can let your pets back onto treated areas once the dust has settled. **Q: has anyone tried Tempo for LRF?** A: I have used tempo for several things. It is a dust that works well in wall voids and places that stay fairly dry as an all purpose insecticide. I wouldn't necessarily use it for ants it might work but baits will do better at spreading to the whole colony. Tempo works great for spiders though. **Q: What is the active ingredient?** A: After grabbing the container out of garage this is what I found. The active ingredient is : Hydramethylnon. It is classified as a pesticide designed to control insects **Q: Stupid question here but will this stuff work om those little ants(pissant ants?) we don’t have fire ants here, thank God!** A: It kills all ants...
