Review: Works better for gnats than other products (including other Raid products) - I'm happy with this product. I thought my other product was working well, and I was getting flies from my neighbor below me. Turns out, the spray would just knock out gnats (kill flies) and they'd re-emerge, all the while I was thinking they were just a new set of small flies (oops). This smells nice and appears to be safer than many other products. The oil does STAY on the surface you spray it on, and if used in the ceiling it eventually forms into a larger drop to wipe off.
Review: It really does kill Gnats exceptionally well. - It really does kill Gnats. I didn't realize how many I had ! It does leave oily residue. That is a down side. But I'm using around house and porches. Nothing has worked better!

A: It doesn't work well on any flying insects unless you you drown them in it & it leaves behind a very slippery residue

A: I spray the specific spot where I know the gnats come from..but spraying the air would probably help

### ⭐ Not Effective as a Fly, Gnat & Mosquito Killer

I purchased this Raid Essentials Fly, Gnat & Mosquito Killer Aerosol Spray for something safe to use in the house. First of all, it makes a terrible, oily mess anywhere you spray it. I would only recommend using it outdoors, unless you're ready to clean up the surfaces it lands on when you use it. Worse than the mess though, is that this spray is entirely ineffective at killing flies. I have sprayed it directly on flies and they simply fly away. The scent of this repellent is not too bad, but I will not purchase this again because it does not kill flies.
