Nature's Way Vitamin D3 Softgels, Supports Immune and Bone Health*, 120 ct

I've experimented much with varying vitamin D dosages over the years. Currently there is a lot of good information out there that suggests that 5000 IU's is a good supplemental dosage of vitamin D, specially for people that don't get a lot of sun exposure on a daily basis. I have tried the 5000 IU dosage off and on again enough times to be able to determine that 5000 is a bit too high for my situation. Keep in mind that Vitamin D can have a hormonal effect when you get in to the higher dosages. In my case if I take 5000 IU's and stay on that dosage, after 1.5 to 2 months I start to have prostrate issues as in inflammation due to the fact that hormone levels increase (both testosterone and estrogen) at which point those hormones break down in to DHT or Dihydrotestosterone which is one of the main culprits of inflammation of the prostrate as androgenic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). When I've backed the dosage down to 4000 IU's, I don't get that hormonal effect enough to cause any prostrate issues. Keep in mind that vitamin D awareness has increase dramatically in the past few years with all of the studies that have been done showing the benefits of supplementing with it and dosages that are higher than the current RDA amount, thus vitamin D is being added to alot of foods and drinks as well as multi-vitamins at a sizable dosage. I do take a multi-vitamin that already has 2000 IU's of vitamin D in it, so this is where this Nature's Way 2000 IU vitamin D3 is very useful. The dosage is perfect for me to compliment what's already in my multi-vitamin and still keep me around 4000 IU's daily which is where I've personally noticed the most benefit. These softgels are pretty tiny so i wouldn't expect anyone to have any problems swallowing them.

Nice, small, easy to swallow. Taking one daily brought my D3 up into the acceptable range on my blood work and keeps it in range.

I always take vitamin D but switched to this brand because supp co app recommended it highly and the price is great. So I knows it’s solid. Btw the bottle doesn’t look like this stock one anymore.

Like most people who are diligent about controlling sun exposure, I lack enough Vitamin D naturally in my system, especially during the winter months. Apparently, taking the 5,000 unit capsule of Nature's Way puts me over the recommended value according to my doctor after analyzing my blood work results. I have now switched to taking 2 x 2,000 unit capsules, and both my doc and I have been quite happy with the results. The pills are tiny and easy to swallow and do not seem to upset sensitive stomachs, though I always take pills with food if possible.

I've noticed a significant improvement since I started using it, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're on the fence about purchasing, go for it—you won't be disappointed!"
