Case Logic Laptop Sleeve 17-17.3", Black

It is important to know that this is a very basic Laptop Sleeve. There are no inner or out pockets. It's a sleeve for a laptop without any extra stuff. Barebones. It's very good. It serves its purpose well.The padding is a smidge over 1/4 of an inch. Plenty of padding unless you like to throw your bag on the ground in a rush. This is not for you. You will probably need a metal case. =DOn a serious note, this case logic laptop sleeve is really high quality for a product that is only $13-14. The value is pretty incredible. I've read some people complain about the new smell. It may depend on how recently your laptop sleeve was made. The one I just received today does have the new smell (as it should!), but only if I put my nose up to it, like 1-inch away then I can smell the "new smell." I have it sitting on my desk right now about a foot away and I can't smell it at all. The smell doesn't rub on to your hands/skin either. Okay, the question that seems to be lingering on most people's minds is the size and fit. I have an Asus Ultrabook SC500A with a screen-size of 15.6-inches. Mind you, screen-size DOES NOT EQUAL laptop's overall size. I think this is the problem with most of the buyers making these complaints. Measure your laptop first and then check with the manufacturers listing. In most cases, always go a full inch larger with cases. With my Asus Ultrabook 15.6" screen laptop, it barely fits. It's a snug-fit but by no means do I have to force it in there. The zipper isn't grazing my laptop or anything. That was my major concern!Other things I should mention is the color. It's black. It isn't a funky, faded black color that comes off brown. I think that is pretty important to know. There are some cheap dyes being used out there. It's pure black and it looks good. Even the zipper handle has this covering on it so that it doesn't hurt your hand when you pull it. I thought that was a nice touch and it adds even more quality to the overall product. Overall, I'm extremely pleased. For this price, it's highway robbery. I'd like to thank Case Logic for providing products that have fair pricing, and many times great value. I know there are a lot of poor, hungry college students out there and most of them have laptops that need a good case that isn't going to crush your wallet. (I meant no offense by that comment, I am a college student!) I hope that my review helped you guys. I try to write very informative and descriptive reviews. As should everyone. It makes life easier. I was thrilled when I found a case this affordable to fit my new laptop. I've had this for about a month now and I've been incredibly pleased with it. I read lots of reviews of other sleeves that complain about the zipper not being protected which caused the laptop to get scratched. This case does not have that issue -- there is a nice layer of cushion between the zipper and the laptop so nothing gets scratched. The case itself has a decent layer of foam on the front and back, as well as around the edges, which protect the laptop very well. It's not going to prevent damage if you drop it on the ground, but if you're constantly carrying your laptop around in a bag it's going to prevent scratches. The case fits a 13" MacBook very nicely, and it also fits very well inside of a backpack or messenger bag. My main concern would be that with the case on my laptop, it would be too big for the pocket of my messenger bag, but the case only adds a few centimeters of extra space. One thing to note is that this case has foam padding and is not a neoprene case. I did not read in the description anywhere that it was foam and was a little disappointed when it arrived, expecting it to be similar to the inCase neoprene sleeves. However, I have been extremely happy with the product and I doubt that I'll end up buying one of the neoprene sleeves now that I've used it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laptop sleeve for a 12-13" laptop.

I am editing this review of this case. The ratings are a little a little deceiving. Apparently the ratings for this case include those from the others sizes as well. Initially I bought the 10.1-11.6 Inch Netbook Sleeve and it fit my chromebook perfectly. I was perfectly happy with the sleeve so when I got my Macbook Pro Retina I decided I would get the same case in the bigger size. Also when I searched the Macbook Pro Retina on Amazon, the case logic sleeve was the relevant item. The ratings were nearly five stars, just the same as when I got the 11.6 inch sleeve, so I figured it would be another perfect fit. Then when I put my 13.3 inch Macbook Pro Retina into the sleeve that I bought which was supposed to be for "13.3 Inch Laptop / MacBook Air / MacBook Pro Retina Display" it was about 1" too deep, 1/2" too thick, and 1/2" too wide so my Macbook was floating around in it. Then I read the reviews and others had the same problem. THIS CASE IS FOR 13.3-14 INCH LAPTOPS AND DOES NOT FIT THE MACBOOK PRO SNUG So I went to the Apple store and found a Côte&Ciel zippered sleeve that fits perfectly. The Côte&Ciel 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display was exactly what I was looking for. I'm not sure if they are offered at every Apple store because when I browsed online I didn't see it there. I purchased the 13.3" case for my Late 2011 13.3" Macbook Pro. I already have the Speck Products See Thru Satin Case for MacBook Pro 13-Inch Aluminum Unibody Only, Peacock (SPK-A0454) covering my Macbook Pro exterior and I was hoping that the lappy and the extra bulk would fit the sleeve. AND IT DOES! With or without the case, the Macbook Pro stays snug inside the sleeve without much wiggle room. I just hate having sleeves with extra wiggle room for the laptop to move around, so this was definitely a plus for me. The cover has enough padding so you won't have to worry about dropping the Macbook Pro + sleeve on a desk (I wouldn't trust a drop from above a feet, though). Anyway, it's a very nice looking sleeve that achieves its purpose of protecting your Macbook Pro while you're transporting it from one place to another. P.S. Now that I received this sleeve, I would have rather gotten a sleeve/case with a pouch to put the Magsafe or other small accessories. But I won't spend anymore money. There are other Case Logic sleeves that have these said pouches if you search around Amazon.

I own several Case Logic products so I figured I was getting something good when I ordered this laptop sleeve. I ordered it for an HP m6 Sleekbook (which I THOUGHT was 17 inches, but actually turned out to be 15.6 inches), so this case ended up being too large to use; but the product is still really great. The neoprene is really thick, and cushy, and keeps your laptop well-protected, insulated, and scratch-free. I ordered a smaller neoprene sleeve by a different manufacturer to replace this, and by comparison, the neoprene was much thinner. I was actually disappointed, because this Case Logic sleeve spoiled me. For $20, I think you get a little bit more for your money when buying the Case Logic sleeves. Just beware the size. Measure your laptop dimensions carefully before buying because this sleeve is EXTRA LARGE. Very large. I carry a U.S. Army issue backpack that is much larger than a standard school backpack, and yet the sleeve barely fits inside. This leads me to believe this case won't fit most backpacks that you could buy at a grocery store. I guess if your computer is actually this size then you probably already know that. Overall, I have no complaints about this product. Thick, soft, with a high-quality zipper that isn't likely to break or fall off. Definitely a 5-star product.

Beautiful dark color. Roomy for 15”. Smug for 16”. Great case. I’m tired of pasty pastels and washed out light colors. What happened to REAL colors? This is it. A dark real color case.

This case has prevented my laptop from getting wet when a bit of liquid spills in my work bag or when it's raining — the case gets damp but my laptop is totally dry on the inside. It seems pretty well-cushioned and protective and I haven't had any issues when my laptop has taken small falls, but I haven't had any huge drops so I can't speak to how well it defends against those. I have the LAPS113 for 13.3-Inch Laptops which I use with my 13" Macbook Air and it fits very snuggly in terms of width and length. A thicker laptop could definitely fit, but it doesn't seem like mine is moving around too much either. My main issue with the case is that the foam adding is very easily indented. For example, if I have a book in my bag next to this case, when I take it out the case will have pretty deep indents where the edge of the book was. These go away after a few hours, but the case can start to look pretty beat up if you're using it regularly from all the things it comes in contact with. For a very low-cost case it does its job, but I wouldn't advise it if it's going to be on display all the time.

I wanted to buy a sleeve for my laptop the Case Logic fits perfect on the left and right sides with a small distance at the top. There are lips on this edge which protect the zip from scratching the top of the laptop. I would like to re assure anyone who is contemplating buying this model they need have no worries whatsoever.

Bella, sobria e ben fatta, offre una gloriosa protezione. Io la uso al lavoro quando devo andare ad uno degli innumerevoli, tediosi ed inutili meeting dove: non si risolve nulla, nessuno si prende una beata m...di responsabilità, ognuno fa sfoggia del proprio archivio retorico etc... Tuttavia tenendo alla cura del mio notebook, mi piace tenerlo protetto con questa custodia che calza a pennello per schermi 15". Consigliata? Sì certamente se ne dovete fare un uso tipo il mio o comunque come protezione per gli spostamenti. Attenzione: non è provvista di maniglie nè tracolla...nulla, quindi meditate profondamente sul suo utilizzo/uso...consiglio allo scopo una o due sedute di yoga o meglio dal vostro analista.

Great quality. Can fit a gaming laptop plus portable monitor inside the sleeve, or the laptop plus power supply. The neoprene and zipper feel solid. I'd give 5 stars if it had an internal or external pocket/sleeve/divider type thing. A lot of these sleeve type bags have one on the outside to put the power supply in which is just nice for keeping things neat. But that's a feature wish not a quality flaw.
