Every player who specializes is Bluegrass needs to try this amazing steel! Review: Great steel slide for pedal steel and lap steel guitars - I just bought a lap-steel guitar at a great price to see what it was like to play one, and I only had a cylindrical solid steel slide which is not very comfortable for my hand to hold on the lap steel. This Shubb steel slide is great -- with one finger on the top groove and my thumb on one side and another finger on the other side I have great control of this steel slide. It's easy to hole, and there are two differently shaped ends so you can hold it with either end pointing away from you to get slightly different effects. This is the steel slide that I see every pedal steel guitar playing holding and once I put it in my hand I could understand why -- it's great! Review: My first true slide bar...probably my last. - I never really played lap steel guitar before now, so I had no use for a slide that didn't fit over my finger. I got this to try out lap steel and I love it. It's good and heavy so there's none of the annoying string rattle that happens when you don't press firmly with the slide. Also, the contours fit my fingers perfectly so it really didn't take any effort or time to learn the "proper" way to hold a lap steel slide. The lip on both ends make it very easy to slant it in either direction and also gives some pretty cool effects by "picking" the string when you move it back and forth across the strings. If you're serious about learning lap steel guitar or if you're already a seasoned lap steel player looking for an upgrade, buy this slide! ## Features - Precision-machined from solid stainless steel for durability and tone - Double cutaway makes this steel ideal for the Bluegrass virtuoso - Weight: 4.8 oz - Length: 2 7/8" - To learn more, please see our Product Description below ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004VDD5UY | | Back Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Best Sellers Rank | #72,306 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #148 in Guitar Slides | | Body Material | Metal | | Body Material Type | Metal | | Brand | Shubb | | Brand Name | Shubb | | Color | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 289 Reviews | | Fretboard Material Type | Rosewood | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00688382018549 | | Guitar Bridge System | Fixed | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Included Components | Guitar Slide | | Instrument | guitar | | Instrument Size | Small | | Item Dimensions | 5.99 x 1.19 x 3.09 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 5.99"L x 1.19"W x 3.09"H | | Item Weight | 4.8 ounces | | Manufacturer | Shubb | | Manufacturer Part Number | GS-40 | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Name | GS-40 | | Model Number | GS-40 | | Neck Material Type | Maple | | Number of Items | 1 | | Scale Length | 25.5 inches | | Set Name | Bluegrass | | String Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Top Material Type | Steel | | UPC | 688382018549 | | Warranty Description | 1 year limited. | ## Product Details - **Back Material Type:** Stainless Steel - **Body Material:** Metal - **Brand:** Shubb - **Color:** Silver - **Fretboard Material Type:** Rosewood - **Guitar Bridge System:** Fixed - **Hand Orientation:** Ambidextrous - **Neck Material Type:** Maple - **String Material Type:** Stainless Steel - **Top Material Type:** Steel ## Images ![Shubb Guitar Steel Slide - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61q71xtP3KL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great steel slide for pedal steel and lap steel guitars *by D***Y on April 28, 2024* I just bought a lap-steel guitar at a great price to see what it was like to play one, and I only had a cylindrical solid steel slide which is not very comfortable for my hand to hold on the lap steel.
