Variable Speed Scroll Saw, 16-Inch with Work Light and Easy Access Blade Changes (3923)

I ordered this saw expecting a marginal performance due to the low cost. But this is an excellent scroll saw. I watched some online comments that were critical of the vibration. The vibration is not bad at all. Some reviews were critical of the blade chuck holding plain-end, pinless blades securely. I think that must have been an older model, because the chuck works perfectly - 100% secure. I read that some reviewers were critical of how difficult it is to change blades. I have no clue why anyone would find it difficult to change blades on this model saw. I wish my other woodworking saws were as easy to change blades. I do use premium blades in this saw and I think that's key to having a great experience. And I match the blade to the material I'm sawing. My woodworking shop has many saws, most are premium brands. I was a bit worried about the Wen brand being a "value saw" but hey, this is a good saw. It is a joy to use. It has not frustrated me once, and I've hammered it pretty hard. I'd buy this saw again in a heartbeat.

Great beginner machine. It takes a bit to learn the speed and choosing the right blade, but I made some great heart pendants for Valentines gifts.

I bought this to use for small jobs in my shop. I am not a full time worker anymore just an old man that loves to do things that make people happy. After Hurricane Ian decimated my tools in the garage, over five feet of water does do damage, I nearly said I've had enough. But I couldn't resist the temptation to get back to the many projects I had planned to do. I bought this for a specific job, didn't need a premium tool just something that I would use now and then. It serves its purpose has everything needed for a scroll saw. It is also priced right for my needs. I've used a couple of times and it is fine for my projects. I screwed it down to my bench because it does have a certain amount of vibration. Cuts fine and blade changing is easy. I recommend this tool for those that don't want to throw another couple of hundreds and buy a big name brand.

TOO Much Vibration. Has some good features: Light, sawdust blower, side panel opens for blade changes. Hard to follow cut lines with So Much Vibration.

Good Quality I am having No Issues

Very nice does the job, easy to use.

Works pretty good. Took trial and error to finally be able to change the blade but once I got it figured out it's a simple thing to do.

Les deux bras de support de la lame légèrement mal alignés verticalement, doit mettre le plateau de coupe légèrement incliné pour obtenir un angle droit parfait et de plus le plateau est aussi légèrement incurvé d'un coté.

Unit arrived with work light not functioning. The saw table angle indicator is imprecise. When it is a "zero" position, the saw table visibly to the eye is not level but rather leaning sideways. The saw guard when lowered is not centered but off to the side. For $282.99 Canadian, one could expect a better quality. Too bad the light doesn't work as this was a gift. Does one send this huge and heavy thing back because of that? Probably not. But then the manufacturer gets away with poor quality and lacking end control. Disappointed, will not purchase Wen brand again or recommend.
