A: I would return the item as it is to have 2 latches

A: Yes. Just empty space no dividers

**Q: With two this size, will they lock together and not fall off while going around corners?**
A: They do lock together but, they the footprint is small so they fall over a lot going around corners. You might avoid this if the bottom one was very heavy when compared to the top one.
