In high wind?** A: At a lope, yes. My daughter uses this every ride and has never had it come off. I'm not sure I can say she's riden in extreme high wind but again, it's never blown off. **Q: Will the Velcro stretch to fit aouund a bicycle helmet?** A: I’m not familiar with the size and shape or bicycle helmets. It fits my riding helmet well. One concern may be the wind catching it and pulling it loose. **Q: How wide is the brim?** A: I do not like this product. It flops around and is difficult to deal with. It is in my tack room with other "experiments" that did not work. **Q: can this withstand heavy rains?** A: I would say no. My daughter rides her horse with this on her helmet for sun protection, but if it’s very windy, it’s not good.
