It does allow the slightest bit of condensation to form. I like being able to store it under my tonneau cover for a 2024 GMC Canyon Elevation. It is quite wide, so it needs to be practically empty when being moved by one person. The portability aspect is nice. I don't have to drill holes in the bed of my truck to keep it from moving, I just use a retractable ratchet strap. The latch works as it should. When I have my truck serviced, I'll move anything expensive inside the cabin into it and then lock it shut. This Rubbermaid box is solidly built. I didn't detect an odor, even with the slight condensation that managed to form inside.
