Authentic tasting Gumbo
This is DELICIOUS !!! I am from Louisiana and for a box mix this taste like you made it from scratch !! I added hot sausage so mine was spicy, otherwise I don’t think it would be . If you’re only making chicken or shrimp gumbo. Serve over rice !! Yummy yummy, it’s tasty Simple to make, quick to whip up, and it makes enough to feed a family of 4

Best Gumbo We've Tried!
We've made several batches of this gumbo, usually chicken and andouille sausage, and remark on how close it is to what we've gotten in New Orleans. Definitely the best we've had of any prepared gumbo mix we've tried!

Pricey but good.
Pricey for some reason but it's my favorite mix for gumbo...of course, I add file and onion, celery and bell peppers...but I love the taste it creates.

Great mix if you’re short on time.
Nice surprise! We took a chance on this mix for the holidays and were pleasantly pleased with the flavor. We did add in some Popeye’s turkey to the mix and that made a pretty massive difference in the overall flavor I believe but it was still good regardless. As a true Cajun, I can get behind this mix-the flavor, the quality, and the value. It’s all there. Give it a try!

Cajun Gumbo
I looked forward to making a pot of Cajun gumbo and really wanted to love it, or at least like it. I enhanced the instructions by using quality chicken broth instead of water; I added sautéed finely diced Holy Trinity (celery, onion and bell pepper); and browned smoked sausage, to serve over white rice. The flavor was quite strong and not good. Way too salty. Very disappointing. I wish I could salvage it instead of throwing out a whole pot of gumbo that took time and money to prepare. I am curious if I got a bad batch cuz I had read good reviews before purchasing.
