I have been searching for the best fluoride free/chemical free toothpaste and this brand is the only brand that I trust. I am 54 and have been having issues with sensitive gums, soars on my tongue and other areas of my mouth. Also my gums have been receding badly in some areas. I have gone organic and chemical free since about 5 years ago and couldn't be happier with the decision. I started reading about fluoride by accident found out through the Fluoride Action Network how poisonous fluoride is not only to our mouth but in our water. I decided to get off fluoride and the other horrible chemicals because of all the problems that I was having including dry mouth and burning when I used listerine. I also buy products from Bubble and Bee Organics and the only toothpaste they sell is this brand. Go to their website and they will explain why they chose this brand. At first it's really different using a natural toothpaste because it doesn't foam which is a good thing. My only complaint, with the first order, was that it was a bit stiff and seemed somewhat dry and not creamy but worked great. I noticed that it did leave a bit of a paste film so I now first put warm water on my brush, then brush throughly, then I rinse the brush with warm water and rinse my mouth with warm water too. Then I use a clean rinsed brush with warm water and brush again to get rid of the film. Warm water definitely helps. Decided to buy the four pack to try all the flavors. There are four of us at home and we all switch and we like all the flavors. Our favorites are the peppermint and wintergreen. The cinnamon is not strong at all. I did notice when I re-ordered that the paste was much better and creamier which means maybe this four pack is older and dried out a little bit. The next time I bought some I ordered the two pack from a different vendor and it was nice and creamy. I have also bought some at Bubble and Bee Organics. My only complaint is I wish it came with a flip top cap instead of a screw on cap. Once I started using this toothpaste my mouth within two days felt so much better. It was amazing how my gums felt. It didn't hurt to floss. The areas where my gums were messed up from pregnancy gingivitis actually started healing and growing back!!! I was shocked! No more sores in my mouth or on my tongue. It is obvious that my gums receding was caused by fluoride and these chemicals and not from brushing too hard. I am just blown away how brain washed we are into thinking that fluoride and these other chemicals are safe! My son just went and had a checkup and they said his gums and teeth looked great. No cavities and no pocketing between the teeth and gums. I also got rid of the Listerine chemical bath that I was using. No more dry mouth. Don't bother trying any other toothpaste because I did my homework and so did Bubble and Bee Organics and stop whining that it looks like poop or it doesn't foam. IT'S NOT SUPPOSE TO FOAM!!! I also realized that during my pregnancies my doctor said that I needed to take fluoride supplements because the town I lived it didn't have fluoride in the water!!! He said that it could help prevent spina bifida. Once I have realized how horrible fluoride is my heart sank. This was a LIE!!! Sadly I trusted my doctor! I took the supplements during both my pregnancies. I tried to find out more about fluoride supplements and it's not good. There is no evidence it helps prevent spina bifida actually it does the opposite. You should never take fluoride supplements or ingest fluoride at all. The town I lived in, Livermore, California did the right thing by not adding fluoride to the water. Thank God because I lived there for 15 years and drank the water. Go and check out the Fluoride Action Network and donate. We need to get rid of the fluoride out of the water supply. Other countries have removed fluoride from their water supply so there is no excuse why we still are poisoning the water. The only other thing I use beside this toothpaste are Taste-T-Picks which I have found here at Amazon. All Natural and made in the USA. They are infused with peppermint oil and worked fantastic. The only other item I did use was the Biotene oral rinse because of the dry mouth but I also no longer need it after I quit fluoride/listerine/chemicals. I am just amazed how great our teeth and gums feel and look since getting off fluoride and chemicals. Also, staying away from baking soda/peroxide. I use to use these toothpaste products and it was horrible. Bubble and Bee also talks about Hydrogen peroxide on their website. I was told about fluoride awhile ago and was skeptical but it's totally true. Any dentist that doesn't admit that fluoride is bad for you, is a bad dentist and is bought and paid for by the fluoride/chemical/dental hygiene companies. Don't you want to break free from these chemicals? I am glad I did!

This toothpaste is so hat every toothpaste should be. Very minimal ingredients, no junk, great value for the money. The taste and scent is just enough. I have had the mint and wintergreen and both are great. My 9 year old uses it as well and likes it. It’s very thick when it comes out so it’s not messy at all. There is no sweetness to it which is the way it should be. It’s very effective and leaves you With fresh breath and your teeth feeling clean.

Let me start off with saying I almost didn't buy this because it had no flouride in it. I switched from Crest/Colgate toothpastes to Jason Healthy Mouth Gel, Teatree Oil & Cinnamon with Flouride so I've been taking baby steps over to natural products. I really loved the Jason's toothpaste but I wanted something without flouride. I was a little worried about trying out this toothpasted because of the negative reveiws about it staining my teeth but I decided to try it out for myself. I'm glad I did! I really like this toothpaste :) At first I was a little off put by the consistency, but you quickly become accustomed to it and now I like it. I think the flavor is really nice and fresh too and there is no gritty feel to the paste either. I have really sensitive teeth (I usually eat/drink things at room temperature because the extreme temperatures are too much on my teeth). I have been using this off and on since December and I feel like my sensitivity has gone down. I was munching on frozen strawberries earlier with no problem! I do think that my teeth aren't as pearly white BUT they don't look yellow or brown or red. I think the difference is that there are no whiteners in this toothpaste. Despite not looking so glamourously white, my teeth look cleaner so I am happy. If I could change one thing about this product it would be to boost it's strenght in killing bad bacteria in the mouth. This toothpaste is AMAZING for your enamel but I feel like it's lacking just a bit in the anti-tar tar area. Because of that I switch back and forth between this toothpaste and the Jason's I mentioned earlier so I can have a more complete care regimine. Overall a great toothpaste! Well worth the price :)

I've used other "natural" toothpastes in the past, like Tom's of Maine. In recent months my teeth have gotten more sensitive as evidenced when I went to the dentist for a checkup. She pushed Sensodyne on me; I knew I didn't want to go back to fluoride. I thought I had better bear down for a while on some kind of remineralization effort. So I got back on my vitamin/mineral supplements and then I bought this. I haven't been back to the dentist yet (due to go soon), but I can say this toothpaste gets my teeth very clean. The xylitol also helps with the flavor, especially if you're coming to this brand from a mainstream toothpaste. I had heard that the mint flavors were not very minty and that the wintergreen was better. It's still not "bitey" like mint toothpaste often is, but it's pleasant. I'll be trying the cinnamon next. The toothpaste does not foam up at all. It also looks grayish brown when you spit it out. I have had no trouble rinsing it out of my sink; if you don't clean your bathroom very often you may run into issues, but bathroom cleaner still gets rid of it. It doesn't goop up in my toothbrush like the glycerin toothpastes do, either--ever notice that? Wow, that's annoying. No more problems with that. Yay! Yes, there is a Prop 65 lead warning on the back label. I haven't noticed any ill effects from using this toothpaste. If you really want to try it but you're worried about lead, use a tube of it and then ask your doctor about lead-testing. If you show elevated levels, obviously stop using the toothpaste. If you're intending to get pregnant or there is a chance you could be pregnant, just switch to another natural toothpaste until you've had the baby and are done breastfeeding. Simple. I can't tell you what to do in regards to whether to give this to children. I would not recommend giving it to a child who hasn't yet learned not to swallow toothpaste. Everyone else should in theory be OK, because this stuff stays in your mouth and then you spit and rinse it out, but if you're worried, just use a different toothpaste. I'm not worried. I'm about to buy my next tube.

My Earthpaste arrived! I can't wait to brush my teeth!....brush brush....brush brush....thinking of the good day that I had....then I look down at the box on the counter and see the LEAD warning! (Prop65)....I had then froze and didn't know what to think. A million thoughts when on in my mind....WHAT THE ??????? .....LEAD? So I got to thinking....obviously it had to do with the clay (no brainer) so my next thought was, "...so just how much LEAD is in here?" -- There's a website listed on the box (http://www.earthpaste.com/prop65/) that you can go to for more info. It's prettied up and explains the Prop65 in California. --- Regardless, it's very unsettling at the least. The fact is....THERE IS NO SAFE AMOUNT FOR LEAD! Update: The so called safe limit of lead in drinking water is 15 ppb. (That's 15 parts per billion). Now ready?....Earthpaste from their very own tests showed 11.9 ppm. (Ok ready? That's 11.9 parts per MILLION.) - Get it? That's 1,260 TIMES MORE LEAD than the so called safe limit of 15ppb in drinking water! Earthpaste themselves have tested the amount of LEAD in the earthpaste at 11.9 parts per million. However, 15 parts per billion of LEAD in water is considered toxic! --- Did you get that? 11.9 parts per million vs 15 parts per billion. There is WAY more LEAD in Earthpaste many times over than the so called safe amount of 15BPM in water! I really thought I had scored with this Earthpaste with it not having glycerin, fluoride and all the other chemicals. I guess not. My search is on again for another toothpaste. There is no way in heck I'm letting my kids use this stuff. Earthpaste, why don't you disclose the amount of LEAD in your toothpaste on the label? On the website you mention 6mcg, but even that is a little unsettling, considering you've already admitted to 11.9 parts per million of LEAD from your very own tests. You should provide more detailed information about your claims of how natural lead doesn't absorb into our body? Are you sure???? You make great mention about how it compares to certain organic veggies, but please provide more information and be more up front about it. All your down playing just sounds like a cover up. Gosh this reminds me of the fluoride battle in toothpaste....Not all 'stuff' is created equal...and some things are what they are. LEAD is a major toxin for our bodies and to say that there is a safe amount is an oxymoron.

Works, but not sure if I'll repurchase. The clay does stain my toothbrush and I need to frequently clean out the bowl of my sink to avoid any discolored splatter. There was also a hole in the tube so it could be messy squeezing out product.

I love this stuff. The only natural toothpaste I can find without glycerine. After the first week I noticed my tooth sensitivity was almost nonexistent. It's minty without being overpowering. All of my picky kids like the lemon flavour too. I only buy it through Amazon when the price goes down to less than $10. For some reason, this product wavers between $8-20+
