Customer Service is Top Notch
Bought this a few months ago and this thing is bright, I get compliments on the setup paired with lifx bulbs all the time. I’m writing this review as this pertains to there customer service department “Pete” and everyone at lifx. I experienced the occasional dropout with the z strip and one day I just could not get it to connect. Contacted customer support as it was under warranty and as soon as a few hours I got a response and after a few troubleshooting tries I was sent an email the same day that I have a warranty replacement and that it should arrive in a couple of days. I don’t know about you guys but customer service is what makes or breaks a company especially on an individual basis. Great job to the Team and Staff at lifx for quick responses and customer service. Can’t wait to get the beam and tiles in for review!

Awesome Lights - Will definitely work with Alexa
I have installed several LiFX products in my home, and am quite satisfied with both the quality and utility of all of them. I have the Life Gen 1 A19 bulbs (non-HomeKit compatible), the Gen 2 LiFX+ A19, the Mini's, and several LED strip kits. These, like all the LiFX products work with Alexa, but most people that I have spoken to (including the fine folks at Best Buy) are unaware that to get that to happen, you need to load the LiFX skill into your Alexa account. I have them controlled by Harmony Hub, Samsung SmartThings, Apple HomeKit (so I can use Siri), and Alexa... and of course the native Apple App.For those that are having difficulty with operation, be sure to update the firmware and make certain that you have a 2.4Ghz network available. I had issues initially with too many devices on my router. It turns out the having 58 wifi devices maxed out my older router (could only handle 48 devices), and I was having issues with things (including these) drop off the network. Since the upgrade, nothing has vanished from the network. With a very small amount of effort ( and a bit of assistance from a Skill), these might become your favorite lights. I have Philips Hue products as well as several generic "works with Alexa" WiFi enabled LED strip products. These are by far the brightest and most color-true strips (and lights) that I am aware of.The adhesive on ALL strips are terrible, and there are available here on Amazon clamps that hold it in place with a nylon clamp and a single screw. This definitely won't be a solution for the TV bias lights, and for that application I used the 3M adhesive tape also available here on Amazon. I know, everyone will say "for that price. they should stick" but sadly, none do. I had to use the 3M adhesive/ clamps on the Philips Hue ones as well.

The best smart LED strip out there. Empirically!
I've been using LIFX bulbs for almost two years now. I have a LIFX, four of the LIFX+, two mini color, and two Z strips. None of these devices have had disconnect issues since they fixed the firmware problem earlier last year. Anyone having issues, please note the three statements below.1: All LIFX lights have problems on 5ghz wifi. This isn't just unique to the LIFX Z. Connect to a 2.4ghz network and you'll have no problems.2: Connect your LIFX Z strips to the controller BEFORE you plug it into the wall. This one seems obvious to me. Why would you assume it would work if you plugged the strip into the controller after the controller is powered up?3: LIFX long ago patched out the wifi disconnect issues in their system. If you're having connectivity problems then odds are VERY good that it's how your network is configured, NOT the bulbs. Either your access point is just to far away, or the AP is very old, or it's just a cheap AP. If you have cheap/ old wireless, it's time to replace it. Sorry. (Not sorry! Upgrade that 10 year old AP fool!)Bonus nit pick: One star reviewers who lambasted this product for "falling off" are either lazy or their homes are excessively dirty. Please read the instructions and use the included alcohol wipes to prep the install surface. Sheesh. Now then... I've got two of these strips (second gen) and i'm giving them five stars. They are fantastic. No disconnect issues and they respond quickly. I've tested integration on both Alexa and Google. While I've recently moved my whole home to Google, LIFX integration for Alexa is spectacular and my migration away from Alexa had nothing to do with LIFX.The color depth and brightness of LIFX products empirically blows everything by Hue out of the water. And these don't require a proprietary hub!!Do it!

Bright Colors, Easy setup and Integration (Google/Samsung)
This light strip is pretty amazing. I only gave it a 4 star rating because it isn't very long (I think this is 6ft). However, the setup was quite simple and it integrates with Samsung Smart Things and Google Home quite nicely. The App is a little too much for me.... And not in any way "ergonomic" as they say. It's clunky and hard to maneuver-- especially with just one set of lights. It may make more sense to people who have LIFx lights in multiple rooms throughout their home. The colors are amazing. The shades of white are nice for different times of day. And, being an artist, I sometimes work with neon paint colors, so the bright blue is perfect to use as a blacklight to see how the neons pop.The LIFX strip is very well made and feels like a quality piece of electronics from the second you open the fancy box. The led lights are encased in this clear rubbery/flexible material so you don't feel like you are going to break them just by handling them. But, as sturdy and the casing is, they also remain extremely lightweight. To contrast, I spent ~$70-$80 on a 50ft long strip that arrived from China yesterday. They are made so poorly. There is no rubbery encasing material.... The LED lights are mounted onto a crinkly aluminum strip that feels very fragile and cheap. I've yet to give them a go because I'm afraid to break them.

2.74 firmware fixes a lot of issues, excellent product with 0 issues now! Definitely do buy.
I've been looking forward to trying these ever since I heard about them, but was deterred by the reviews ever since... After overhauling the recessed lighting in my living room with new 5" housings and LIFX A19 bulbs, I decided to take the change and redo the LED strips in the living room as well, and started with a purchase of 2 Starter Kits, and 8 meters of additional strips, for a total of 12m LED strips. At first before the 2.74 firmware that hit a few days ago, I definitely noticed the difference between the color temperatures of the light vs. the A19 recessed LIFX bulbs, however setting the LED strips 500k higher than the A19 bulbs seem to mitigate this. And as other reviewers mentioned, below 3500k the light became extremely green. BUT, the 2.74 firmware fixed the green light below 3500k issue, and has balanced the colors much better with the A19s.WiFi connectivity. This is like the #1 issue people complain about, however I had 0 issues even before 2.74 firmware. I do have a wireless access point within 1 wall from the controllers, which when I check the app, shows 4 out of 4 connectivity bubbles. That AP is connected to 9 A19 bulbs as well without any issues, and I didn't have to do anything stupid like make a dedicated LIFX SSID. The LIFX developer app also has had 0 issues connecting to, and controlling the lights, and the stuff you can do is pretty awesome.Overall, as a LIFX customer of several years now, I can say that this is as great a product as their standard bulbs, its just new. And as we have seen over the years, they make good on their promises to improve and fix things, and can and have just with the firmware.

Unreliable - Stay away
From a hardware standpoint, they're great. Very bright, easy to install, etc. From a software integration and support standpoint, they're just not worth it.I bought the starter kit plus 4 extensions for under my bed. I've had two different sets, as one had to be warranty replaced already. Both my original set and warranty replaced set worked for great for the first two weeks, then stopped connecting to the Lifx App and cloud knocking out my Google Assistant and Alexa control as well. Hard reset, factory reset, app uninstall, etc. couldn't fix it. Daily power cycles worked temporary but eventually the hardware was unable to connect at all.LIFX swapped out the first set but took them 2-3 weeks to respond to the initial inquiry. Now I've been waiting 3-months for a response on the second warranty set but still no response due to covid. All in all I've had two different sets that worked for a total of 30 days. I have 5 other light providers (Hue, Leviton, Mercury, GE, GoSoft) and never run into integration/connection issue with any of them. Seems to be a problem with the LIFX Z. I can't speak for any of their other devices. The hardware seems good and the app design is better than most, too bad they can't get the hardware and software talking consistently.

OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD.
Amazinggggg. The paint mode, set to a slow move effect. Amazing. There is even in-between colors so you can blend it JUST right (no hard lines between colors).I cannot stress enough how much I underestimated these light strips. I am by all means going to buy another starter kit as well as a 4-pack.The ONLY crappy thing is, when in music mode, as part of a group, it only flashes one color. But its ok because it definitely throws more light than either of the bulbs do, which I'm also reviewing and briefly touch on below. I will add though, the brightness is with the strip laid out in the open. Not tucked into something as an accent light. But that's where those moving rainbows and painted colors are gonna pick up the slack and STILL hold their own next to the bulbs. Do not hesitate to grab these. Especially if on sale.I bought the a-19 and the mini as well. You can save some dough going with the mini. But... The a19 points straight out almost like a floodlights and has a brighter "spot" than the mini. But the mini shoots out more directions.I'm so glad I chose LIFX over Philips. These are all so amazing. I will update later as I haven't even installed the strips yet.

Premium LED Light String
It is what it is. It's a relatively bright LED light string that works with your phone or smart home and changes colors. I use AppleHomekit, but have a separate Amazon Echo Dot, and I can control this through either, ask it to change colors (including Soft White or Daylight), turn on and off, and so on. There's a clear rubbery covering over the whole strip, and the adhesive on the back is strong. Doesn't require a hub to work with smart homes, unlike some competitors, including Philips.I have multiple ways to control it without a physical switch. I can program it to turn on through its app or AppleHomekit (or other systems), whether that's at certain times, when triggered, or what not. It's the smartest option for a smart home.If you want something less specific (just LED lights, just LED lights that change colors) you can get cheaper alternatives. But if you want one that's as bright and works with most smart home platforms, this is the best choice. For the right person it's worth twice the cost of the basic alternatives.

Buena conectividad, buena iluminación
Excelente artículo, buena proporción calidad-precioY desconozco porque tanta gente se queja de su conectividad, ya que al menos en la actualidad funciona excelente!

The price is ridiculous
I bought two of these, each for 399 Dhs. How did the price jump up to 800 Dhs?! This is crazy

La mejor del mercado
Estaba entre estas y las otras disponibles en el mercado, sin duda esta es la mejor, ya que te deja cambiar de color cada led y no toda la tira, lo que hace una gran mezcla de colores.Muy brillante y funciona la app perfecto
User
Buena calidad, control via app poco confiable.
