The hollow ground 3-1/2” blade is made from 440 stainless steel with a black powder coating finish. The spring action and ball bearing washers allow the blade to open rapidly with a simple push up on the dual thumb studs. The 4-1/2” black and red handle has a more rugged style but fits firmly in the hand allowing for a secure grip. Pattern 103 has a stainless-steel sideliner lock to ensure that the blade remains firmly in place and is easy to close. A reversible pocket clip is also present that allows for a tip-up carry and quick access. A slightly longer lanyard spacer is present on the back of the handle that is for secure fastening and storage. It feels sturdy and the blade doesn't wobble like some of the cheap ones I've tried in the past.
