But I wouldn't use it coz this shank shakes and will not give you a perfect hole. Drill are ok though. **Q: Do you know if this will work on a Dremel 7300?** A: NO. The end of this is a 1/4" hex it is meant to fit mainly cordless drivers that take bits. They do make chucks specifically for Dremel and rotary tools but the end is either round so it fits in a collet or the back of the chuck is threaded so it can screw onto the rotary tool. When using a seperate chuck with a rotary tool you want it 'straight' so at high speed you dont have a wobble. The one here is generally used at lower speed because cordless drivers are generally way slower. A driver or cordless drill are normally like 300 - 800 RPM and a rotary tool like a Dremel is 5,000 to like 35,000 rpm! HUGE difference in speed with a rotary tool. **Q: The pictures look like the hex shaft is connected to the drill head by a thread (second picture). What is the thread size?** A: As verified with my tap set, it is an M10x1.0 thread. Everything from China is metric now. **Q: How long are the hex shanks?** A: Just long enough to clip in to your power driver. I used the larger chuck to hold a 1/4 inch diameter shaft. It worked fine for my task, but it surprised me when I reversed the screwdriver drive and everything came apart. I guess I'm used to my power drill that uses a Jacobs-type chuck that can be driven under load in either direction. If you drive this chuck in the reverse direction, the chuck loosens up the grasped shaft just falls out. It's only functional for rotation in the forward (right hand rule) direction.
