This is a really good movie and this disc is the best looking disc in this region. The image is very organic looking and it preserves its filmic look. This film has some stylistic photography with will cause some shots to lack the clarity people are used to nowadays. However, this disc is miles ahead of the recent Mill Creek release which used heavy DNR in there master making the film look muddy and unnatural. This is the disc to buy! I have heard it is "Corney,unlikely,unreal" etc.I think it is a portrayal of what can and does happen in real life. Similar occurrences happened to me and a young man from the same neighborhood (East Los Angeles (only ~thirty-five+yrs later) under-like circumstances--families from Mexico,poor,lacking education.He got a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry,and I an M.D., both of us, from the University of Utah. Another "great,authentic,real life movie in the same genre is "Stand and Deliver" starring Edward James Olmos (he lived 2 houses down from me).
