**Q: What is the part number and connection size?  page lists 860-gtr1b and 660-gtr1b.  chief web site lists 3/8 connection but this web page says 1/2".**
A: The Sioux Chief 660-GTR1B is a 3/8" compression connection.  The original product information created by others is incorrect noting a 1/2" connection.

**Q: is the cartridge available by itself?**
A: I doubt it. This is a high quality unit with high quality fittings, buy with confidence. Sioux Chief makes commercial arrestors that are cartridge only but they are for trunk line use not appliance use.

**Q: can install from 1/2 inch  angle stop  to faucet ?**
A: This is 3/8 comp male x 3/8 comp female.

**Q: Is this really 1/2" in and out?**
A: It is 1/2 by 1/2 for soft copper. If you are using hard copper like L or M tubing you need 5/8 by 5/8 I am pretty sure.

Took care of water hammer in 3 locations around house. Does not have to be mounted vertical. i put two at our new Samsung washing machine. The new low water usage machines have quick acting valves that cause the water hammer. this took care of it. i didn't have room to mount at the spigot in the laundry wall box so i mounted directly on the back of the washing machine. easy setup. Pipe and play. Done.
