Should have purchased one earlier
I've been a hobby spray painter for about 40 years, and use production guns, touch-up guns and airbrushes for painting cars as well as painting products from my woodshop. I have switched to HVLP for the larger paint jobs.Quite a while ago I asked for advice from an artist friend of mine for an airbrush. Based on that advice, I purchased a high-end double-action airbrush (Binks Raven 2). I liked the airbrush, but it was meant for an artist. I am definitely not an artist, and it took a while before I finally mastered the Raven. It consistently did an excellent job; I can't say the same for me. I paint wood model sailboats and other small items I make in my woodshop with it.After 30 years, I can no longer get parts for my Binks and it needs rebuilding. I was forced into purchasing a new airbrush, so searched online for information. Based on that research, I decided a single-action airbrush was more appropriate for my uses. Paasche products get great reviews and I found this one on Amazon for a great price that I couldn't match elsewhere. I ordered it last week; it arrived today.I couldn't wait to get to work on my latest model -- a J-Class sailboat for those who might care -- and headed out to my garage to paint. As soon as I opened the package, I was impressed by the quality of the Paasche. I power it from a large compressor so have no issues with air pressure. I experimented with pressures between 20 and 40 psi using thinned acrylic enamel. I discovered that the airgun atomized the paint very well and laid down a nice even pattern. It was easy to set up, easy to hold and a great little gun. I like the paint jar-siphon setup with this airbrush better than the paint cup-gravity setup on the Raven.I have no doubt this airbrush will last a good long time and I am sure I will continue to be very happy with it. It is quite simple in design with very little that can go wrong with it. Did I mention that it is very well built!

great work horse
In special effects/creature/makeup work this is probably the most widely used airbrush I have seen in my 15 year career. Even people with $300. airbrushes also pack at least one of these because it is a great work horse that is cheap, versatile and tough. Without the complicated needle system of the fine dual-action brushes, you can swap out tips quickly and easily and it doesn't cost much to keep several extra tips in your kit. Get the Grex mac valve quick disconnect (for paasche) to go with this and you're ready to do a variety of things. The only caveat is that if you need to do super fine lines and micro-thin shading this is not the tool for that.

Almost a Five Star
My issues are with the air supply fitting on the air brush and the size of the compressor connector on the supplied hose. To be able to use a quick disconnect fitting on the airbrush, I had to purchase an adapter set. For the hose, I went to a hardware store and bought some adapters. Once I received the adapter set, I was able to use my normal air hose. This airbrush was purchased just to spray primers. When using an acrylic primer make sure to properly thin the primer and maybe use a little bit of slow dry agent.

Great Air Brush
Well I had a top of the line Thayer Chandler air brush from 40 years ago but it has seen better days. I had to old Badgers that had been given to me for rough work. Well I tried to use them to pain an HO Scale model. Nope nothing. So did the usual online research and found the Passche H model. I remember my custom painting friend used one. So looked for the best deal, well Amazon came through again. Delivered ahead of time. Took a little adjusting to get to work, plus this alleged airbrush ready acrylic I first tried clogged it right up. Dismantled it, clean it thoroughly. Tried the good Floquil paint and viola!!! Success. Lays down pain beautifully nice finish when dried. I will say it pain to clean the large bottle with comes with. Tried ordering a smaller one, still to big. Looking for a 1 oz bottle or adapter so there is not the need to clean the bottle and waist paint.

Outstanding flexibility, great price
Exactly what I needed for a modest budget. This sprayer works well with a 50/50 mix of paint and thinner. The flow adjust is perfect and clean up is pretty easy. I set my regulator for 35 psi for the first try and it was exactly right. We set the flow for a thin coat for the first and second coats, then dialed it up a bit for a heavier coat on the final spray. VERY nice unit and didn't break the bank.

The best airbrush I have used
I have spent countless hours with an airbrush and after trying all the low end and moderately priced models and never getting the desired textures I need, I tried the Paasche. Without a doubt, it does everything I need...consistently. And best of all, I don't need to constantly change the needle (what a pain). This brush will not let you down as long as you keep it clean and in good working order.

super reliable
super easy to clean and dissasemble.any time it clogs I just tighten and reloosen the nozzle and it clears.the only complaint I have is it doesnt fit my other airbrush bottles due to the angle.

Bien para empezar.
Lo quería para pintar camisetas y la verdad es que sirve para ello. También debo decir que no lo utilizo mucho, pero el tiempo que empleo usándolo cumple su función.

This is a high quality airbrush, really suited to large volume painting, easy cleaning, note that mine came with a nice braided hose not the plastic one shown in the picture, a nice surprise!
