Programmable cook time in 1/2 hour increments and drops to the warm setting automatically when the time you set is completed. I've never used it for much longer than 10 hours at a time, but apparently you can set it for a max of 18 hours. As with any slow cooker, I recommend using liners, saves time and lots of hassle with cleanup, and also prevents the stoneware from taking on the odor of whatever you're cooking in it. I also wash the stoneware and lid in the dishwasher, no issues there. If I had to complain about anything, the outer heater part of the cooker is a bit flimsy, but again, I've never had any problems from the point of functionality.
