If you're looking for a machine that toasts bread and don't want to spend any money on it this is the toaster for you. It works as advertised, is reliable and costs less than a meal at McDonald's these days. Feels cheap, but is cheap so that adds up. Nothing has broken yet, but at this price if it lasts a couple years, it's more than worth whats being asked. If your avocado toast needs to be just the right brownish hue, then spend more. If youre eating toast on your way to the jobsite, this is your ticket.

UPDATE: After less than 5 months, the toaster has failed. The lever will no longer stay down and even if I hold it down, the heating elements don't heat up. Of course it is too late to return it now. I regret buying it. Previous review... It does toast. Unevenly, but it does qualify as toast. However, its spring is so weak that it can't propel most slices of bread (and definitely not bagels) back up after they are done toasting. You have to get a fork to fish them out of the slot. The slots are not big enough for bread from my bread machine, which is just lightly wider than commercial bread. Also the temp selector is just a green knob with only a slightly raised line to indicate the setting. It really needs a contrasting color so you don't have to feel all around the knob for it each time you use the toaster.

This is tough to review because I’m conflicted. It broke super fast. But I was able to fix it. The lever wasn’t sticking so it wasn’t cooking my pop tarts. Turns out, some how, a crumb got into the magnet that holds it down. As I am super broke, I couldn’t afford to buy another one. I took it apart and cleaned it and it started working again! So, conclusion is, it is cheap, and it might break down extremely fast. Bit of you are broke, this will work.

I broke my expensive toaster and looked for an inexpensive one to replace it because I was about to move in with a roommate who already had one. So it all worked out. This toaster didn't disappoint. Very pleased with it. No, it didn't toast perfectly, but it was adequate and functional. For the price, it works and I was pleased. I'd spend more money on a permanent one I planned on keeping for years. But this was a great get-me-by one and nice price too.

I like it very much, it's cheap and works just right for my white loaf bread. I like it a lot better than my old one, that has many settings with defrost, reheat etc. I don't need that - this one just set number 2 and presses once then done. Before putting the bread for the first time -make sure you already pressed the toaster maybe 5 times without any bread to remove the smell, then you can start toasting your bread, no more smell. I love it, and for sure you will love it too. Power Cord is no problem , not short for me.

Works just fine, like a toaster should. Lightweight, cooler to the touch. Very nice.

The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating is that it would be nice to have a button to push to lift the toast before it pops rather than turning the knob, which makes it difficult to get it back at the right setting again.

This toaster did not toast evenly and it stopped working only toasted the middle of the bread. Save your money, don't buy this junk.

I find that the operation lever sticks. not very easy to release it before the temperature says it should release.
