There are other people that have stated this in their feedback. The output terminals are labelled with a + and - which would lead you to believe the voltage would be present on the output terminals - this is not the case. The labelling also shows the terminals are simply a switch, which it turns out is what they are. To get it to work you need to give the device that you are controlling (in my case a fan) its own supply but splice either it’s positive or negative feed through the controller.
