These coolers have performed flawlessly for over a year at my mobile food stand. Worth every penny.
I have bought many coolers over the first 3 years of my business, and the disgraceful quality of most of them is a shameful waste of money and materials by manufacturers to sell sell sell. THESE COOLERS ARE DIFFERENT. They are not the cheapie coolers I've bought, and they have ended the search for something that not only works great, but HOLD UP TO DAILY USE AND ABUSE BY ME AND THE PUBLIC FOR WELL OVER A YEAR NOW. I admit, I am hard on things. I don't treat things nice. If they're tools, I use the tools. I yank these handles to slide the coolers to within reach in my truck, jerk them up fully loaded (I'm estimating 75 lbs) and the public uses them all day to grab drinks from. In and out, back and forth, sliding, yanking, cooling. They just keep taking it. I don't have to 'be nice' to them like so many products. I bought these 'returned' coolers to save a bit until I could sample their worth, and found they didn't have a single noticeable thing indicating they weren't brand new. They have been outstanding. That said, I know when I reload drinks, the drinks and ice/water cools the incoming drinks overnight, and I add a bit of ice the next day and voila! all day cold drinks with the lids flipping frequently! I do not consider/count on multiple days keeping things cold, but day to day, these know how to chill... So, benefits - low ice consumption for my purpose described, badass hinges that don't break like many others, badass latches that are reliable and 'me-proof', handles that don't even hint at failure. The caps on the drain are attached with a durable leash but if you're like me and shut the tailgate with the cap between the truck bed and tailgate, you can overcome the intentions of the engineer and free them from their bondage. Worth every penny I spent on them.

It’s a great and functional cooler.
This cooler has been great for me. It’s much cheaper than most other brands - especially ones like Yeti - and it feels just as sturdy and functional. The size is great and it holds quite a bit, but I would say it could get pretty heavy pretty quickly if you’re loading it up. It is really easy to use, and it will keep items cold for the entire day, even if it’s sitting in the hot sun. I use this on Costco runs, especially if I am buying anything that should be refrigerated like meat or dairy products. I’m very happy with this cooler.

**Edited** Months In
Holds ice for at least 3 days. Looks really cool, too! Pros: Looks like a tiny off-road vehicle. I half expect monster truck wheels to pop out. Surprisingly lightweight for how indestructible it feels. Keeps drinks frosty and sandwiches un-sad. Orange accents so bright they basically function as safety gear. Cons (if you’re picky): No drain plug on the smaller sizes? Rude. I had to tilt and pray. The handle can play games with the lid if you’re not paying attention. Bottom line: If your old cooler is on its last legs (or leaking suspiciously), upgrade to the Igloo BMX. It’s tough enough for the jobsite, stylish enough for the campsite, and cheap enough that you won’t cry if it goes full Evel Knievel off the back of your truck. Highly recommend. 10/10 would tailgate with again.

Sturdy, looks cool, and kept ice frozen and food cold
We needed a new cooler since we got rid of our last one. We were road tripping over to Phoenix from Las Vegas and wanted to take food, drinks, snacks, etc. My husband was trying to talk me into buying a Yeti because his son has one and loves it. They live in Florida and go boating, camping, ATVing all the time so they could justify the cost. Knowing that we will only use it a few times a year, I set out to find a cheaper alternative, but still a very good quality cooler. I did some research and found that Igloo has a much higher end line of coolers than they used to and this one got really good reviews, so I ordered it. In reading the reviews, I learned that you can pre-condition a cooler by filling it with ice and frozen water bottles overnight and everything will stay cold longer. Neither of us had ever heard of that so we decided to try it with this new cooler. We did, and the next morning, we added our food and other drinks to it and stuck it in the trunk of my car. Phoenix is about a four-hour drive from Vegas and the temps started out at over 100 and got up to 110+ by the time we got there. When we got to the hotel and opened the cooler in our room, everything was as frozen as it was when we left. Maybe not too remarkable but pretty impressive given how hot it was in the trunk of my car. Anyhoo, we unloaded the food into the mini fridge and left the drinks and frozen waters in the cooler. We were making drinks with the mixers in the cooler, so we opened it a lot! Hee hee Everything was super cold the next day and the water bottles were still frozen, but the ice we brought with us had thawed enough so that it was ice cubes mixed with water. By the third day, the day we left, the water bottles were still almost completely frozen with just a little water in each one. We added a little ice from the hotel ice machine and it tends to be slightly watery, but by the time we got about two hours away and stopped for snacks, we opened the cooler and that hotel ice was even more frozen than when we put it in! Okay, now THAT’S pretty remarkable! Needless to say, this cooler is perfect for how we’ll use it. That was our trial run, but we'll also use it for day trips in our side-by-side since it fits perfectly in the bed. One thing I like is that the drain plug screws on instead of just popping in or out, so it can’t be accidentally drained. Not only that, it looks really cool, AND they have several color combinations of that model so you can order the color combo that suits you best!

Great cooler so far
I purchased the Igloo BMX Cooler to replace an Ozark Trail 25qt rotomolded cooler that I purchased from Wal-Mart before an impromptu camping trip. I was very disappointed with the OT cooler, it claimed to hold ice for 4.5 days but on day two of my trip over half the ice was melted. I had a family member coming out to visit and camp with me so I decided to order the 52qt version of the Igloo BMX. It was actually cheaper than the Wal-Mart cooler and twice the size. We filled the Igloo up on a Sunday afternoon packed pretty full with food, beer and water. We were planning on a 3-day trip. I saved as much ice as I could at home and we bought one more bag on the way out of town. Day 1 after over 24 hours I opened the drain and only a tiny bit of water came out. Already much better performance. On Tuesday we moved campsites and got gas and added another bag of ice since we bought more food to replenish. Day 3 on Wednesday a fair amount of water drained from the cooler but it still had plenty of ice and was plenty cold. I had put 8 frozen water bottles inside and they were all frozen still. I went to empty the cooler on Day 4, a full ~96 hours of use and there was still a lot of ice left in it. I have no doubt that you could make this last 5 days or even longer if you keep adding fresh ice every couple of days. If we didn't add the second bag, most of it would have probably melted by day 3/4. At the time of this review I purchased the red/black 52qt cooler for $77. I'm impressed enough with it that I decided to order a 25qt one was well for solo trips and returned my Ozark Trail cooler. I will add another review or update this one after I use the 25qt cooler. But $140 for a nice rotomolded 52qt and 25qt cooler is less than half the price of ONE comparable Yeti. So glad I didn't buy into the hype.

I go camping a lot...
...and I have a big, 70 qt Igloo IMX 70 as my main food cooler for long car camping trips with friends. I wanted something smaller for drinks and a bit more portable around the campsite (and on the long drive). This one is perfect, the 25qt capacity is perfect for keeping ice for drinks and a few bottles/cans cold. I also use it when I'm taking perishables from home for camping, throw a block of ice in the center (which gets moved to the big cooler upon arrival) and a couple of Igloo cold packs in along with steaks, bacon, half and half, etc. It fits in front to the passenger seat and I can throw my dog's bed over the seat and the cooler for a comfy place for the fierce 21 lb Dachshund. This cooler's sturdy, nice looking and will hold ice for quite a while. Since I tend to go for 5-6 night camping trips, I wanted to up the insulation/seal around the lid closure. I opted for adhesive foam weather stripping (1/4" wide x 1/8" thick) and installed it tight around the raised lip on the cooler so that it will add to the seal/insulation for longer trips. I've shown close-ups in two of the attached photos. Highly recommend Igloo Coolers, they've never done me wrong and this newer generation of their product line is even better and more rugged that the 50qt marine cooler that was spectacular for me for over 15 years!

Keep Ice for 3 Days
I needed a cooler I could keep in my car when I travel for dog sports. We’re usually out in the sun for as long as eight hours a day, and sometimes there’s not a lot of shade. The cooler I had would melt the ice within about six hours. I was spending so much money on ice. So I bought this after looking at the reviews, indicating that items would still be cold after three days, even with some ice in the cooler. It’s absolutely true. Three days after I put a bag of ice in this, there is still ice in the cooler although most of it’s just really really cold water. But it’s still cold enough to keep what I need cold. The money I save on ice is going to have this cooler pay for itself in about a month and a half. It’s a great price and a great cooler.

The best for any construction worker
This is the best cooler. My husband works in asphalt and this cooler has been a beast. It sits on the paver or roller while he works in the heat. We have bought 2 in 12 yrs! If that doesn't say something,I don't know what I could write to convince you it's worth the money. The one that were currently replacing has been through it all. Holds ice, plenty of room and the lid as a seat, is a great option as well!!

Excellent Cooling Performance, But Bulky
I’ve used the Igloo BMX Hard Cooler on several outdoor trips, and it’s definitely one of the best coolers I’ve owned in terms of performance. It keeps ice frozen for days, even in hot conditions, and the build quality is solid and rugged — perfect for camping, road trips, or beach days. That said, it’s quite bulky and heavy, especially the larger sizes. It’s not the easiest to carry around unless you have help or wheels. But if you’re prioritizing cooling power and durability, this cooler delivers. Overall, highly recommended for serious outdoor use — just be prepared for the weight!

Hielera igloo
