If the signal Strength Indicator in "Stud or Metal scan mode " is weak , you can switch into "DeepScan mode". **Q: Is it works throgh concrete?** A: it doesn't even work though drywall. it kept telling me there was a stud every couple of inches **Q: Does it detect pvc/plastic water pipes behind concrete wall and tiles?** A: I doubt it. Ever. Its "detection" of studs is completely random and is in no way related to the actual position of studs behind drywall.
