Each hinge takes up 1/4", which adds 1/2" to the 10-7/8" tray, for a total of 11-3/8"' which will give you more than 1/2" to spare if you only have 12". So you are good to go! **Q: How deep are the hinges and / or tray when closed ( how much space is needed beyond the inside of the cabinet)?** A: The trey is 2" deep. The mounting bracket also is 2" deep. Mounted flush to my 3/4" thick cabinet, 1.25" sticks past the cabinet. **Q: Are there two pair of hinges?** A: Hello! To be honest, I really do not know!
