A MUST HAVE FOR LAWN EQUIPMENT PLASTIC REPAIRS
This is one of the best products i have used for plastic crack repairs on lawn and garden equipment! Make sure to follow instructions and this product will work wonders for you. Good for cracked plastics and to keep cracks from spreading. I highly recommend you try this if you are in need of plastic repair. Quick tip if you use painters tape on the outside of the cracks and fill with this epoxy from the back side you will get a nice clean outside fix.

Impressive product that gets the job done.
I ordered this product to help glue the plastic shell of my laptop back together. The 2 plastic pieces of the screen had begun to separate near the hinge where the pressure of opening and closing was the greatest. It was annoying and kept prying apart more and more. I figured the plastic would crack and break before long if I didn't find a fix. Upon receiving the PlasticWeld, I opened the package, tore a flap of the cardboard Amazon box that it came in off, and grabbed my laptop. Used sandpaper to rough up the plastic where I needed to glue it back together which also cleared out some of the old adhesive the manufacturer originally used. Used the cardboard as a mixing tray, squirted out a good bit of the weld mix onto the cardboard and mixed it all up with the provided wooden stick. Once mixed, I positioned the laptop where the plastic pieces were pulling apart and then used the wooden stick to swab the weld onto both pieces of plastic. After thoroughly coating both pieces I closed the laptop and pushed the 2 pieces of plastic together. After wiping off the excess weld which oozed out, I stuck the laptop under the couch cushion where I was sitting and ate my lunch figuring my weight would hold the pieces securely together while it set up. Bout 30 minutes later I pulled her out and saw no separation of the parts and left the laptop to cure overnight. After that, I have been using the laptop on a daily basis and have seen no issues from that area again. Strong bond that is resisting the tension of opening, closing, and constantly adjusting the laptop screen. I cannot say that this product will work well for all applications, but it sure did the trick for my limited needs and I can think of times in the past that it would have fixed a product that I ended up throwing away.

Strong if you fallow the directions
Very strong if you fallow the directions. Mix a small batch and let sit for a few minutes, then apply to whatever your fixing. Works great.

Great stuff. Actually worked really well
This stuff works. Dries quickly, especially on your hands. Clear color. Smooth texture. Great Value. Easy to mix, if you follow directions. And you might want to wear those cheap plastic gloves as you hold whatever you're gluing in place. (I didn't. Oops)

Donโt be like meโฆfollow the directions
I purchase this epoxy to fix a hole in my under the desk elliptical. Iโm not particularly familiar with doing repairs but I have done some simple DIY projects and use kits to build stuff around my home. I purchased this after a friend suggested I patch the hole. I checked Amazon first and looked for some kind of patch that could fix a hole in plastic and got this because of the other reviews I read. Before starting, l took a trip to Lowes and grabbed a sanding sponge and some netting since I was sure the epoxy would just fall through the hole and land inside the elliptical. This turned out to be a great idea. I cleaned the elliptical and area near the hole per the instructions. I placed a small piece of netting and attempted to apply the epoxy. It fell through some of the holes so I added more netting that overlapped so the epoxy had something to cling to. Where I messed up: Although I skimmed the instructions, I somehow missed the part that said mix the 2 different epoxies well. I waited over 24 hours and it was still sticky-donโt be like me, mix the epoxy very well until it changes consistency and looks a bit bubbly. Another thing I messed up with is that I should have added multiple overlapping layers of netting/mesh because the epoxy fell through some of the holes in the initial one I placed. My mess up turned out ok since it created a platform for the well mixed epoxy to easily cling to (and some added flexibility which is probably unnecessary). After I reapplied the well mixed epoxy with the wooden popsicle stickโฆI managed to add waaay too much. But it did set mostly in 5 minutes and after an hour or so it was basically dry (cured) but I waited until the next day to use it. I was lazy so I wound up not sanding it down and my under the desk elliptical is back in business! I didnโt paint the epoxy or anything since the elliptical is under my desk and I donโt care about how the hole looks. Iโve uploaded pictures of my process (mistakes and all) to this review. If I had to do it again, I would: 1. Read the instructions multiple times and keep checking them each step of the way 2. Clean the hole-y area well 3. Keep paper towels nearby because I definitely used the ones I grabbed last time and keep a small garbage bag for any debris and trash 4. Add multiple layers of overlapping mesh or netting so that I couldnโt even see the hole underneath it 5. Squeeze out a little epoxy 6. Mix the epoxy very well with the popsicle stick 7. Apply the epoxy a little at a time so I donโt use more than I need 8. Block the area with the epoxy filled hole so my cat cannot touch or smell it (I did this and my cat is fine). 9. Keep the epoxy covered hole in a well ventilated area or near an air purifier and probably wear a mask-this stuff stinks. 10. Sand down the epoxy for a smoother finish-I was lazy so I didnโt do this. Good luck and learn from my mistakes.

Yes, it DOES work on ABS!
Although the packaging lists ABS as a compatible plastic, several reviews unequivocally stated that this product does not work on ABS. I'm glad I decided to take a chance. A small plastic tab that holds the washing machine timer in place had broken off, rendering the washer useless. A full control panel cover would cost nearly $100, and so I decided to try to glue the tab back in place. My first try was with JB Weld Original because that is what I had on hand. It did not work. I painstakingly scraped all the dried glue off with a sharp pocket knife and ordered the JB Weld PlasticWeld, all the while laundry piling up in bathrooms and on bedroom floors. As soon as I had the glue in hand, I cleaned the plastic parts carefully with isopropyl alcohol and let them dry while I went about mixing the JB Weld PlasticWeld. I applied a thin film with a toothpick and set the tab in place, pressing down for several minutes with a clean toothpick until it was quick-set into place. Because it was such a tiny piece with such an important job, I mixed a bit more glue and carefully spread it on top of the seam hoping that this would reinforce it. I then let it cure for 48 hours. I know the package says one hour, but this being my last chance to get out of this inexpensively, I let patience prevail. I put the timer back in place this morning, then proceeded to replace the control panel cover. I held my breath as I pushed the timer skirt back into place (so far, so good), then the timer control knob. Still holding my breath, I pushed it in to rotate the timer to start the washer, and it held! I am now on the fifth load of the day, and it works like new. The moral of this story is trust the manufacturer, not some disgruntled purchaser who may or may not have followed the directions. This glue is very strong and does, indeed, work on ABS! Update -- July 1, 2022, nearly two years later, and the washing machine that is used almost daily is still working perfectly!

Incredibly sticky!
Incredibly sticky. This will stick any two things together. It's a very effective tool and pretty easy to use. It does smell terrible. If you have a sensitive nose I would not recommend this. But it's incredibly effective and I've never had to redo a job when I have used it properly.

Excellent for motorcycle repairs / jobs....
I used this to do a minor motorcycle fairing repair to stick a small piece of broken fairing edge onto its mating surface, and also to fit an LED from my heated grips into an LED holder and out of a hole in the handlebar cowl on a Honda ST1100. It didn't disappoint. It is easy to use and the instructions are clear. It bonds very well and it set in place quickly although to fully dry/cure it is best to leave it 24hrs. It dries nicely and doesn't expand out of gaps like cheaper stuff. I trust JB weld products having used a steel epoxy before. Excellent value...there is enough in a tube for multiple uses...

Good value and does the job.
This epoxy seems to work very well. Used on repairing a plastic car part- the bond seems very strong. This epoxy is much better than using contact adhesive where strength really matters. It takes about 15 mins to begin setting on a winter day. It's probably safest to leave for at least 3 hours before using the mended item and is fully cured after 24 hours. As with all glues, make sure all parts are dry and grease free.
