AcuRite Iris (01122M) Weather Station with Wireless Mini Display

This is my third one in 30 years I think. The last one stopped measuring rain so I got another. Luckily my old displays work well with it. I find these to be very good for showing all kinds of weather measurements and am glad they are still made the same. I have the color display which has a kyron that shows all kinds of weather data like highest wind, avg wind etc. All kinds of data even the rate of rainfall. You can calibrate the rain gauge but I find it hard to do and hope that it is calibrated well already. This morning it rained and it said 0.64". I went out to check my NOAA official rain gauge said 0.65". I am very happy with it. I have the official gauge for accurate readings and the AcuRite for approximations while raining. It seems they agree, the old one didn't, but it was 10 years old. I'm a gardener and it is nice to know the weather in my home area.

I love this! It works very well and is quite affordable. I’ve been interested in a weather station for a a while now and while researching options, I kept coming back to this one. As a beginner to this sort of thing I found it was extremely easy to setup. The temperature, wind, speed and rain gauge were all accurate right out of the box and I do appreciate how you can calibrate the rain gauge if it’s not accurate. The display is easy to read however in the dark you can’t see the blue on the screen but after a while you really don’t need that. And connectivity is amazing as well. I have it across my house and the signal is still strong throughout having to go through multiple walls and across a large yard. Over all its designed really well and would highly recommend.

Nice little basic unit, with a few extra features. Seems well engineered, manufactured and reasonably accurate. I like the outdoor humidity data, wasn't expecting that. The only downside, if one could call it that, is the wind speed info. Due to the slow refresh rate, you'll only get an accurate reading in a prolonged, steady, wind. Otherwise, the indicated wind velocity is wildly inaccurate...and on the slow side. Forget about gust readings, the unit is too slow. To be fair, however, wind speed at this price point is a nice little "extra". This unit meets expectations, for me.

I have had one of these for maybe 10 years. I replaced parts until this last round where it was too far gone. That is already a testament to how long these will last. Now that I have another, I put the second receiver in my office, which I really like. It has some predictive qualities and I find the dew point reading especially useful. I consider a good weather station a must for prepping.I have this section to rate any of my prepper-related reviews. My rating for this is...MY PREPPER SCORE: 5 out of 51 = do not buy2 = has issues that dilute usefulness3 = may or may not be useful; might depend on your situation4 = good item with minor caveats5 = you need this

I have had this since March. Now that the weather is getting cold the temperature keeps sticking at around 45 degrees. We changed the batteries twice and it kept doing it.We changed them to the expensive lithium batteries and now it is running 10 to 12 degrees above where it actually is. This morning there is frost everywhere, all of my apps say it is 35 degrees, and my weatherstation says it's 44 degrees.Apparently this weatherststion is junk.

I like AcuRite Iris weather stations. Simple setup and good information.

Got this as a gift and they tell me it works very well. And was easy to set up all I know.

This would get 5 stars except the monater that came is NOT as big as the old one. No lights in it to see it easier . The old one of which this is exactly like has a better monater and works with the new weather machine. The machine itself is good and we had the old one for about 5 years. So we bought it again. The new one does not back light but out old black and white one did. Now only colored one does.
