Perfect for my 9 year old son who plays in a league. It was broken in within a week. It’s a great looking glove and feels very comfortable to him. Material is great will stand up to time. I’d recommend.

Five stars for what it is. If you know baseball and the tiers of baseball gloves, you know that this glove isn’t going to hold up like a heart of the hide or pro-preferred. It’s a youth catcher’s mitt. It has been easy to break in and does the job well for an 11 yr old rec league player. For comp? Probably not as robust as it should be. If you gave this level of mitt, you keep extra string ready for the inevitable string pop. Overall, for quick break in, good padding and compatibility for youth rec league players.

Good glove. Supple leather. Has gotten better with use and some glove oil. Durable. Still looks good even after about a year of little league. Would buy it again.

Bought the 12in for our 9 year old son at the start of the season. I was worried about if we would be able to break it in fast enough. After getting it, I just used a mallet to "form" the pocket and soften the bend points. Probably about 100 or so hits. The first few times he used it in practice, the ball would drop 1 out of 10 times. But it broke in fast and was game ready in a couple of weeks. He has smaller hands which makes it harder to close. A player with larger hands would be able to use it with less break in. Compared to some "adult" gloves around the same price, this one has slightly less padding. It hasn't been an issue so far, but we might need to upgrade in a year or 2 when the kids throw and hit harder. - 1 star for the padding. Otherwise a great youth glove.

Got this glove for my son to replace an old broken one. He loves it. High quality. Looks great. Break in process was super easy and it’s a Rawlings. Come on. We all grew up with Rawlings gear. No doubt it’ll last.

Great glove. My 10yo has been using his for over a year now and it is still in great form and holding it's shape. I would recommend for any kid 8-12yo playing the game.
