Mongongo Oil Thermal & Heat Protectant Spray

Perfect! Leaves hair smooth and not too heavy. I like how the spray is more of a mist, unlike other heat protectants that don’t mist well and come out as a stream. The mist allows for more coverage and a lighter feel. Smells great and not at all heavy on the hair.

I love this product - Mielle Organics Mongongo Oil Thermal & Heat Protectant Spray. I would just like to say that this product complements my haircare routine very nicely. Currently, I use a pre-wash conditioner, conditioning shampoo, and occasionally a light layer of conditioner. Using this product allows me to either air dry my hair or blow dry and have soft, pleasant smelling hair. The scent is kind of hard for me to describe, but it is not sweet or fruity, it's more of a flowery scent I believe. I haven't smelled anything quite like it, but it is among the nicest smelling products I've used so far. As I said, this can be used either air drying as a leave-in conditioner or before blow drying as a heat protectant. The product is not sticky at all - I sprayed some on my hand just now and it dried in less than a minute, completely! It also dries well in my hair too, but for context, I have highly porous hair that does not maintain moisture. This product reduces frizz significantly and at a very low cost - $6.30? That's actually amazing. I also repurchased shortly after receiving it when I saw how nice the scent was and how soft it left my hair feeling. This definitely competes with Marc Anthony's leave in, in my opinion. Marc Anthony's is in a similar price range, which is why I mention it. This spray by Mielle is more effective than the Marc Anthony one, for my hair, so I will keep repurchasing this. I also believe the longevity is decent - if used consistently, it will most likely last at least a month if you use it a few times a week like I do. I would highly recommend this product!

I’ve been using the Mielle heat protectant for a few days now, and I’m honestly so glad I found it. I have curly hair that tends to frizz and get dry easily, especially when I use heat tools like a blow dryer or diffuser. This spray has made a huge difference—my curls feel way more protected and bouncy even after heat styling. It’s lightweight and doesn’t weigh my hair down, and I love that it doesn’t leave a sticky residue like some other sprays I’ve tried. Plus, it smells really nice without being overpowering. What I appreciate most about the Mielle heat protectant is that it actually helps maintain my curl pattern. In the past, heat would loosen or mess up my curls, but this product seems to shield them from that damage. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can style my hair without completely wrecking it. I also like that it’s safe for all hair types, so I’ve even recommended it to a few friends with different textures. If you’ve got curly hair and want to protect it without sacrificing the health of your curls, this is definitely worth picking up.

I wash and roller set my relaxed hair once a week. I wanted to try some new products. I read good reviews regarding Mielle products. I order this and the Mielle Hair Milk. The two products together have worked very well for my hair. I sit under a hot dryer and use this product to protect my hair from the heat. I squeeze a few pumps on my hair while wet. My hair is soft when I finish, not dry. I don't need to add any additional oils to my hair. I am very happy with the results. Would highly recommend.

I miss it being in the stores. Or always leaves my hair nice and soft.

A bit too wet for me. I need to let it dry before straightening my hair.

I love this product. I've used a few different sprays over the years, and other thermal protection sprays smell terrible. This one truly smells delightful! It's effective and my hair feels great using it. I have fairly thin hair, which gets greasy quickly, but this spray does NOT make it any greasing. It's fantastic and I've been using it for about 2-3 years, every time I blow dry or straighten/curl.

This is my favorite. It’s not greasy when applied and fragrance is also really good. Not too strong or not too light. Definitely works before using heat tools. Works for thin frizzy hairs

Très bon produit pour lisser les cheveux en les protégeant de la chaleur ! Je suis à la 2e commande c’est super

I historically have never gotten on with heat protection sprays. They leave my hair with a weird sticky film. This is the first and only product that feels hydrating, soft and sleek. I will be loyal to this product for life now!
