The book has wonderful introduction about the numerous artists that illustrated these books, including a specific focus on Louise's sister, May, who illustrated the first publication of this book. This publication is not like many of the other cheaply made "retro-classic " publications, but has a very strong binding; thick boards; high grade paper for pages, and high quality replications of the Burd's original illustrations. Abbeville needs to make more of these! I am a huge fan, and I was ecstatic when I received it!
