I have a F-350 w/ man step and the hole on the tailgate driver side is oval not round. Will this hole accept the nutset?

I have a 2013 F250 XLT long bed and there is only one hole on the driver's side of the tailgate in which you can install the nutsert. Measure exactly as the instructions say, and when you install it, tighten it the 9 turns as instructed. I had no problems installing mine, it's been working well for almost a year now and if it broke, I'd buy another one the same day. is this 2013 ford raptor direct fit??

The unit I requested was for a 2102 F-350 Ford, it was a direct fit by following the instructions.

How do you adjust the tension on the Dee Zee Assist

There is no tension adjustment. They are like the lift assist air cylinders you would see on a hatchback vehicle.

Will this work on a 2006 Chevy Avalanche?

Wayne. My only experience with this model is that it will not work on an 01 Ford F 150. The piston is too long and will not let the tailgate close. That company did refund my money with no problem. Sorry I can not help. Don
