Nice case.

I really like this drive enclosure! It's ruggedized exterior and integrated USB cable with storage is just what I need. I'll take the slightly larger exterior of the drive for It's durable rubberized exterior. Easy to hold on to and being waterproof and shockproof definitely helps to protect uou data. Drive housing works as it should and drive run at the speed of the cable or the drive depending on how fast the drive is you install. USB is 3.0 compliant so can support faster speeds as well. For the price, I think it's a steal!

I love this case. Short cord, but it tucks away nicely along the side of the unit; so it's not sticking out all of the time. And it looks cool. So far, the enclosure has worked great and easy to use; I would buy another if I needed it. Good value!

It wasn't difficult to install (remove 6 screws) and just make sure you press SSD firmly/fully into the connector. The rubber bumpers surrounding the edge plus rubber inside should be adequate to protect the SSD from a substantial drop. The cover presses into a slot in the rubber casing to create a [hopefully] water resistant seal. Although the edge appears very stiff, possibly to support being run over by a car (didn't try), I did take off 1 star because it's unsettling that you can easily squeeze the middle of the case with your hands and can hear air leaking/squeaking out. There is about a quarter inch airgap between the casing and the circuit boards w/ attached SSD. So as long as you don't squeeze it while under water, it should remain water resistant, possibly water proof, although with the air pocket inside, it may just float (did not try). Built-in 14" cord is sufficient length for reaching laptops, but may dangle from a tower desktop. It's not small and definitely not as small as NVMe SSD enclosures, but at the size of a large cell phone in an Otterbox case, you're getting a very well protected portable hard drive without having to worry about forgetting/losing the cord.

After getting rid of my old laptop, this enclosure helped me keep all my files safe. It was easy to use, works great, and feels very durable. I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

First of all the cable is permanently attached. I LOVE THAT You don't lose the cable, you don't have an extra one to keep up with, it stows well, and it works well. I get great USB 3 transfer speeds. If you're like me and you happen to have a bunch of 2.5" drives sitting around gathering dust, this is an excellent way to turn them into portable drives. This model is the rugged one. It's a little more difficult to install the drive than the budget model, but it's worth the extra work. This thing reminds me of mobile phones I've carried around in Otter Box cases in the past. I carry a drive in my military style MOLLE backpack and I'm not worried about damaging anything. It's water resistant and impact resistant, exactly what someone who's rough on stuff like I am needs. I keep budget ones at home, I keep this one with me.

OK, so the plastic feels a little cheap & the rubber seems like it's not doing much, but definitely better than a hard case with no cushion. Of course a magnetic hard drive's head will still bounce if you drop it in this - but the case won't get scratched or dented! Easy enough to install, with a little squishing of the foam to get the connector in. And the unit is still pretty small and lightweight, so that always helps with the inertia problems of dropping something - well and putting it in your bag of course. All in all a great little unit.

Okay, I thought I'd give this a try purely because it has an integrated cable, and I'm sick of my current external enclosure coming disconnected from a loose cable if it's moved even slightly. I have to say, I'm impressed! The item really does feel sturdy. Instructions are TINY print, but hardly necessary because it's pretty intuitive: separate the halves and insert the drive, reassemble and close with screws (screws and screwdriver are included). There's a foam pad inside to dampen shock and hold the drive in place, and the pad is positioned correctly in terms of which part of the drive it sits on (it doesn't press on the circular portion of the disc). The drive mounted immediately, and I did a preliminary drag-and-drop test using a gigabyte video file, and the transfer speed was good. The integrated cable is a ribbon, not a cord, which makes me feel reassured about its durability.

Keeps your valuable drive safe and secure! I had originally got this just as any old enclosure. I didn't really care too much about the rugged/waterproof features. But after actually receiving it, I'm actually really impressed with the durability and stability of this case! The inside has a heavy rubber encasing that surrounds your entire drive. The front and black plates have two small adhesive foam pads to further stabilize the drive. 6 screws holds it all together. And then the entire outside edge is once again encased in a thick rubber buffer. The attached USB is SUPER handy. No more finding cords or carrying them with you, its just right there when you need it and tucks away into the top when you don't. It's just snugg enough to not come out unless you WANT the cord to come out. And I even gave the cord a few really good tugs to make sure that it was actually attached securely to the chip-mount, and there isn't any movement at all. Not to mention I actually think this case is the coolest looking enclosure I've ever had. Sure its a bit bigger and heavier than others, but it's durable. and the rubber seals supposedly make it waterproof (I don't doubt this one bit). If you need to regularly move and transport your hard drives and are worried about damage and bumps and drops, this IS the case for you! Beyond what I expected!

Using a budget WD Blue SSD on an 8 year old computer it just rinses modern USB flash drives. The difference in speed is not even close. I wasn't expecting this to work so well. Fast, cheap and robust.

se ve un producto de buena calidad. me encanta que lleve el cable incorporado y además puede quedar recogido completamente. a parte de los bordes de goma de seguridad, el propio cable también sirve de refuerzo (al quedar guardado) en caso de que se caiga. no es de los productos baratos, pero es bueno y fácil de instalar
