I was concerned about the battery and where it might be located. The seller promptly replied and advised it is in the clock and retains settings once unplugged so when plugging back in it has the correct setting. I will purchase one for my parents. Two days ago, February 14, 2019, the clock stopped working. Wish I could post a photo but will have to describe the mess on the digital display instead. It says its "Monday night", 9:85 PM, and the bottom line reads " PM 45 2165". IMHO, something like this should not go on the fritz in under a year. Mounted on the wall the entire time, never dropped or suffered an insult of any kind. Just announce the year was 2165 and quit.
