Will this work with my tank, or will the butyl tape grooves on the bottom hang off the edge?** A: It will hang off the edge **Q: Is it necessary to screw this to the septic tank or can you just use a sealer to connect it?** A: You defiantly need to use a sealant to prevent water leaking into your system. The manufacturer recommends butyl rope that can be found herehttps://www.amazon.com/Sealing-Tuf-Tite-Polylok-Septic-16/dp/B01IRM64UW?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0It is also recommended to use concrete tapping screws to attach it to the top of your tank. We use Tapcon screws.
