However, I only put a handful of seeds in the tray feeder once a day. I hope not** A: Generally, sparrows are not big fans of safflower seed. I mix this with black oil sunflower seed and sunflower hearts and chips, which brings grosbeaks, cardinals, house finches, purple finches, flickers, and woodpeckers.
