Cute, short book on choosing a Halloween costume for 1 year olds to 1st graders.
So cute! What child can't relate to thinking about what costume to wear for Halloween? Board book has cute illustrations of little pookie (a pig). It would take a couple minutes to read so excellent for wee ones. I'd recommend for 1-year-olds to 1st graders (depending on whether you are reading the book to them or they are reading it independently). Nice addition for kids I babysit (ages 1 through 5), and grades I volunteer for (1st and 2nd). A nice addition to my Hallowee library!

Adorable read for toddlers & parents! 🎃👻
My toddler son and I LOVE all of Sandra Boynton’s books (especially Moo, Baa, La La La) and this is another great one for our growing collection! He’s 16-months-old and I’ve been trying to get him familiar with and excited about Halloween. Even though there’s a pandemic this year and we won’t be going door-to-door, he still has a costume and will be trick or treating at home. This is a great book to read before naps or bedtime. The pages are illustrated beautifully and have nice bright colors that keep his attention. It’s also super durable which is great because he wants to “help” turn the pages as we read it. I actually changed the words for the “dragon” costume to “dinosaur” because it sure looks like a green dino 🦖 & he’s obsessed with them. That’s what I love about simply-worded books like this... it’s easy to create your own dialogue!! While it’s a short board book, I think the story is a little longer than some of the other books by the same author. Not by much, but it’s definitely longer than Moo, Baa, La La La or The Going To Bed Book.Even though it’s a Spookie Pookie there’s nothing frightening about this story. His favorite thing to do is point out the pig and pumpkins!! We’ll be reading this year-round I'm sure! Highly recommended for all toddlers and families of young kiddos. Plus you can’t beat the price!!!! Under $4!!Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻

Our fav toddler/baby book
Our family loves this book!It’s our favorite book to gift to family and close friends when they have new babies.Why?🌟 It was the first story my eldest son (who’s now 12) memorized at 2 years old.🌟 We love celebrating Halloween & the costumes that come with it🌟 The illustrations are story cute🌟 the smaller board book format is durable and makes it easier for little hands to hold on to.This book will forever be on our shelf.

Spooky pookie should be more durable
This is a fun/cute/ short book. My toddler loved having interested to him. Like all books I’ve ordered for him he’s too rough and the book has been torn apart from the spine.

Baby LOVES
Got this for my 10mo who LOVES it. He loves books in general — we read about an hour a day — but this is the only book title I’ll say that makes him laugh and get excited. It’s got a great rhyme, is just the right length for a quick read and has a good storyline for babies. Baby rates it 10/10
