Good for bore inspection.
Works great for my intended purpose. It lets me examine a . 22 caliber rifle bore. There is some optical distortion, but I can't complain. I get a well illuminated view.

Good quality camera, easily worth the money
Super easy to connect and the picture quality is actually good. I had a different scope but the camera was fatter and the picture was on the included lcd screen. This connects to my phone so its a good viewing screen and good camera quality. I was able to find my problem searching through a spark plug hole. I noticed metal flakes stopping the cylinder and it took me 30 seconds with this new scope. I had done 10 minutes of looking with a different brand. Came out the box with plenty of charge too.

Good boroscope
This is a good boroscope. I needed greater field of depth but for closer up it worked very well. The app was pretty good to use.

Not 1080p Video
Does not record 1080p video. Connects to iphone 14 Pro Max no problem, so no complaints on connectivity side. I go into settings and select 1920X1080 from dropdown, then click Set Resolution button, and receive the "set success" indication. Go back to live video and hit record, video records, shows up in Photos app seconds after stopping the recording, so no issues there either. My issue with this device is that the recording is 640x480, so 480p. And unless you're literally millimeters from whatever you're recording, with light blasting directly on it, that resolution is terrible and worthless. Now, snap a picture (instead of recording) and sure, the photo saves at 1080 resolution... but it's saving a 480p image at 1920x1080 file size, which is ridiculous! The manufacturer & sellers are directly deceiving customers by claiming this is a 1080p video device. That's a lie, it is not.

Durable and easy to use
I am a horse veterinarian and use this for a wide variety of things. Getting a better look at the back of a horse's mouth, running it down the inside of a nasogastric tube to get an abbreviated look at the horses stomach, and passing it through a hole in a barn wall to see what kind of animal was hiding in there (it was a terrified feral cat.. that has since been trapped, neutered, tamed, and is now living the luxurious life of spoiled house cat. He's now so fat that he wouldn't be able to squeeze in that space). This is the 2nd one of these I have purchased- the first one was damaged by a horse who bit down on the end, IT STILL WORKED AFTER!!! But the image wasn't perfect because the tip was bent and part of the clear shield was cracked. Super easy to use, battery charges quick, battery lasts a while (long enough for my OCD self to obsess over things while using it), and its VERY SIMPLE to connect to your phone, and then record pics and videos. Overall a steal of a deal.

Perfect for finding hearing aid domes!
First - We have now used this twice to retrieve hearing aid domes from my ear (my wife does it). This has saved us a bit of money, going to the Dr or er. Second - the light does get warm, but not enough to burn you, but just now that there are 5-6 led lights in the end, and they do warm up. Third - It is sometimes very hard to focus in the ear, and it is weird controlling it at first, hopefully we'll not need to get better! The camera is a fixed focus, so as it gets close to your ear canal it can go black, bright white as the light reflects off the inner ear, or anything else. The item to retrieve is sometimes very hard to see, but this is better than the otoscope we also have. Fourth - better than an otoscope? Yes! it is a much narrower thing in the ear, and it allows us to get the German bird beak tweezers into the ear at the same time - the otoscope ios very awkward for this as I have long ear canals. Fifth - it works with it's own wi-fi with your phone, and it is ridiculously easy to set up and use - turn it on, go to settings and change the wi-fi to the Nidak wi-fi, and poof, you can watch it on your phone! SO it is tricky to guide and see in the ear, it is warm, but it is relatively easy to use, once you figure out which way to steer the camera. This would be great for inspecting other things like inside an engine or something. The bottom line is: we have probably already saved between $100-$800 PER VISIT, so the small inconveniences are worth it. Highly recommended if you have the problem I do with hearing aid domes coming off in your ears! ***It would be nice if it were even a tiny bit smaller, like 2mm instead of 3.5, however I imagine this kind of camera would be more of a professional Dr's, and would be well into the $1000's.

It beat my expectation!
I've been very impressed with this endoscope and I've had no issues whatsoever. Images are very clear and it never fails to link up with my wifi. I am not saying that there may have been some bad units sold, but usually with these sort of devices it boils down to "operator error"...I'm just saying...
