Review: but there's nothing quite like it - I especially like it for timing stretching ... - I have been using the 1st/simpler version of the Gymboss for years - seems simple, but there's nothing quite like it - I especially like it for timing stretching routine but also for all sorts of timed exercises. This new version is an improvement because I can now save a whole series of interval programs rather than having to reset the Gymboss each time I want to use a new interval setting (I time different kinds of intervals every day!). As a user of the 1st gymboss, I found this more complex version a bit tricky to program at first - there is a new SET button between the arrow buttons on the top - easy to miss this button because the button strip is all the same colour and it does not look like a button. However once the people at Gymboss told me where to find the SET button (which gives you access to a new menu system that the old gymboss does not have) it is easy enough to set up. Actually, setting it up does take a bit of learning, but it's worth the effort and once learned it's easy. Thanks for the upgrade Gymboss. Review: Indestructible? - "What could be making all that noise in the tumble-dryer?" I thought. "S***"!!" I remarked, as it dawned on me that it was my fairly pricey new interval timer. Not only had I dried my timer at 40 degrees for 90 minutes, I had also given it a nice wash for 3 hours on the stains cycle. Still, I fished it out, let the battery cool down and it worked as good as new! I was very pleased. It is also an excellent timer. The mild complexity of programming it is worth it. It's especially good for helping you keep fit in parks, hotel rooms, beaches etc when you're away from your base. ## Features - The miniMAX is an advanced model, designed for timing extremely complex interval programs consisting of more than 2 different intervals. If your program only has 1 or 2 different intervals you DO NOT NEED THIS MODEL. Due to the nature of complex intervals this timer is harder to setup than the Classic or Plus model Gymboss and requires more patience to learn how to use it. If you do purchase this model, we do have printable, expanded instructions on our website help page. - Compact, advanced interval timer tracks up to 25 different intervals between two seconds and 99 minutes. Save up to 20 programs. - Built-in Stopwatch and Clock features. Secure and Removable Belt-clip included. - Chime and vibration interval notification; alarm duration can be set for one, two, five, or nine seconds. - Compact size powered by one AAA battery (not included); measures 2.25 by 1.75 by 0.5 inches (55mm X 44mm X 14mm). Sweat and impact resistant. For use with: HIIT, Cross Fit, Cardio, Weightlifting, Strength Training, Kettlebells, Body for Life, Running, Learn-to-Run, MMA, Boxing, Martial Arts and more. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00BR380O2 | | Battery Type | AAA | | Best Sellers Rank | 95,244 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 144 in Stopwatches | | Brand | Gymboss | | Brand Name | Gymboss | | Colour | Black, Yellow | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 1,124 Reviews | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 1D x 6W x 4H centimetres | | Item Weight | 35 Grams | | Item weight | 35 Grams | | Manufacturer | Gymboss | | Manufacturer Part Number | miniMAX | | Material | Compact, advanced interval timer tracks up to 25 different intervals between two seconds and 99 minutes. Can I set the watch to sound alarm for each portion of the sequence?** A: Yes. You can set a small beep, a big beep, and/or vibration. You can also set how long it beeps. I sometimes do a 5 part workout with 20 seconds each and then go into a 90 second break. For my workout, I set it to give me one small beep for each 20 second section and then 2 big beeps for the 90 second break. **Q: Does the timer reset itself? if set it at ten second intervals?** A: On the MiniMax, you can set it to repeat 10 second intervals (or any other intervals) up to 2,475 times. At the end of the number of intervals you set, stops and you can start the whole thing over again with the press of one button. **Q: Can this be set to Just vibrate - no sound? I need an alarm set for every 30 minutes that will not annoy everyone around me.** A: Yes, it can. You can set the miniMAX to vibrate for 1 second, 2 seconds or 5 seconds. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but there's nothing quite like it - I especially like it for timing stretching ... *by A***W on 6 July 2014* I have been using the 1st/simpler version of the Gymboss for years - seems simple, but there's nothing quite like it - I especially like it for timing stretching routine but also for all sorts of timed exercises. Took a little bit of time understanding the set up, but once mastered, flew through the interval timings that I wanted and began HIIT. For those who do interval training, it's essential to concentrate on the form of your exercises and then let the gymboss do the timings automatically. Cons: the initial set up can be time consuming and fidly, but gymboss website and YouTube helps. Pros: perfect for people who interval train. Small enough to carry or wear. Loud enough to alert next interval. Multiple settings for more complex intervals. I would recommend it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gymboss miniMAX Interval Timer and Stopwatch - Black/Yellow SOFTCOAT - Gymboss Interval Timer and Stopwatch Watch Strap – Black - Gymboss miniMAX Interval Timer and Stopwatch - Green/Yellow SOFTCOAT --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/47890360-minimax-interval-timer-and-stopwatch-black-yellow-softcoat](https://www.desertcart.in/products/47890360-minimax-interval-timer-and-stopwatch-black-yellow-softcoat) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
