Clever Yellow Back Support Belt – Lower Back Brace for Men and Women

I had a sudden back pain recently and thought I would try this to help me through. I have used other supports in the past but they were far more flimsier than this one. This is a really great support with a double locking mechanism using Velcro. The first is to tighten the belt around your waist and the second is to create an even tighter fit which both can be adjusted to suit. Without going into any great detail the most important factor is whether or not I feel the belt has helped me and the answer is an undeniable YES. I wish I had bought this belt sooner as it really made a significant difference supporting my back and helping to eliminate any sudden pain. It was comfortable enough to wear and it just helped me get through the day far easier. Absolutely worth the money for what I really needed it to do and it’s there if I ever needed to use it again. I would highly recommend this product.

Bought an extra large which was too wide and too long. This large one so much better. Provides immediate relief whilst active. I only need to wear it every now and again. Thought I would feel too hot wearing it with the high temperatures this summer but it was fine. Good quality. Good value. Comfortable.

First of all, I read nearly every customer comment before buying this belt and was quite disconcerted to find out that a lot of them had received this item free in return for an honest comment. For the record, I paid for this belt. It cost £22.47 and postage was free. Approximately 20 years ago I damaged by lower back in an accident. Over the years I have seen physiotherapists, osteopaths, tried various painkillers and other remedies. Some things have worked better than others. Modern NHS physiotherapists are, as far as I am concerned, a waste of time as they are a box ticking exercise only. Over the years I have seen two osteopaths and both were good and have reduced my pain and increased my mobility. Sometime in the last two years I have damaged my pelvis and the pain and the lack of mobility have been distressing. The only painkiller that works, and then only if I'm feeling feverish, is paracetamol. In a way, I count myself lucky that I react badly to the heavy duty painkillers as I have friends who are addicted to them. At no time over the last 20 years has any health expert told me to wear a support belt, in fact, a physiotherapist warned me off them as they would weaken the muscles - since I could hardly walk at the time that seemed like the least of my worries! Last week I decided to look on Amazon for a belt to hold a heat pad against my back when I'm out and about. The ActiveBak brace came up. I checked it out, read most of the customer comments and for the price felt that it was worth a try. It arrived two days early and I began wearing it three days ago. The first morning, I wore it for two hours and immediately had relief from the vertabra pressing down on to nerve roots - the belt seemed to lift the lower spine. After a while I found it quite tiring and took it off. Later in the afternoon, I resumed wearing it for several hours until going to bed and found that I had no pain at all when I got into bed and managed to sleep through until about 4.30 am when I woke and did have a twinge. (Anyone with back pain will know that a twinge is not a problem). The next day I wore it all day - the first two days I didn't have to go out. Yesterday, I was out from 9 am until 2.30 pm and did not wear it and yet I managed to visit friends, do some work at church, shop and then travel home by overground train and bus. I did feel tired when I got in and put the belt on. Today, I am at home and wearing the belt. The reason for not wearing the belt when I was outside yesterday is because it is rather bulky. As I'm a size 20/22 I bought the XL size but feel that a Large size might be better. Also, according to a couple of comments the belt can be worn at night and I will attempt that to see if it helps and this is where a larger size will probably be better than a size that fits snugly. So far, the pain has reduced although my mobility is still not great but I am now able to do more exercises and walking, which was almost impossible when the back felt inflamed. I'm very happy with this belt and would recommend anyone with a lower back problem trying it out. I will try to update this review after about a month.

Back pain. I do a lot of lifting in regards to servers, computers, towers, heavy racks (reaching up to 30kgs+). I thought I could do it as a young person, but my back has given in. I struggle to stand for long periods of time, and my back decides to lock up on its own accord, it's a huge downer on me, and has affected my self confidence. Went out and looked for a solution online, and tried everything. You know those black lower back supports on those well known auction sites, well one snapped, another gave no support at all, and the metal clasp ones felt like my waist was being strangled! So here I go, and find this AcitveBak support, 5 start glowing reviews, but a price that is a tad expensive compared to others. But there is that old saying, you pay peanuts, you get...monkey nuts! I decided to get this and pay the extra £'s and boy oh boy, what a difference. From the moment you put it on, the support is just right, not to much, not to little. Best part of it all? It's adjustable! You choose how much support you want to give your back, and you choose how comfortable you want to be. This has made an AMAZING difference in my life. I honestly thought I was going to be paralysed! As people say here, the NHS is terrible, 2 years running, they still are booking me in for appointments. I had the greatest feeling of picking up that phone, and saying cancel them all, i'm back up and running! After putting it on for the first time, it does feel like your back is on helium floating you left and right, it's weird having something being able to sort out your posture (especially if you're on the computer for long periods) But when you take it off, its just amazing to see that your body CAN recover from the damage so long as it's given that little support. You can't put a price on your health...

I have bought and tried two of these in the space of 3 weeks. I found them extremely good at doing what they say, I got instant relief for my back pain and they were comfortable and supportive during day to day activities. However in both cases within a week they had started coming apart at the stitching which is such a shame because they really do work.

Absolutely LOVE this product! Arrived quickly via Prime, packaged well. Easy to put on when your in pain and can be adjusted to fit all over the lower part of the back hips or buttocks. Velcro straps are strong and secure and the XL fitted great, I’m a Uk ladies size 16. This has been bought by me to help with a slipped disc in my lower back that’s not getting better but I have to walk my dog so I’m wearing this for short periods of time to get around. All in all very happy!

Good quality - flexible, comfortable and easy to use. No impact to mobility in general use - does not get in the way. Prone to some folding when sat down but certainly provides beneficial support to the back.

Il parere del mio fisiatra alla vista della fascia era eccellente. Inoltre aggiungo, per chi come me è motociclista, consiglio l'uso in moto per medi lunghi percorsi.

Obwohl ich sofort nach Erhalt eine Rezension bereits geschrieben habe, werde ich erneut "gebeten" mit vielen Mails. Ausnahmsweise, weil es ein tolles Produkt ist, zu dem ich schreibe, schreibe ich erneut: In der Zwischenzeit habe ich den Gürtel bereits zwei Wochen und meine Beschwerden waren noch vor Weihnachten weg!!! Hexenschuß. Und ich hatte schon öfters Hexenschuß, aber noch nie so schnell weg. Einfach schon das Gefühl diesen Gurt zu tragen, ist seelisch entspannend, als wenn man sich nichts mehr neu verletzen könnte und das, was man schon hat, wie ein Verband "stillgelegt" wird. Ich kann also nur eine 100 % Empfehlung für einen Gurt erteilen. Und dieser Gurt hier mag etwas teurer sein, aber er scheint allerbester Qualität. Ich las, manche fanden, dass er stinken würde. Mein Produkt stinkt nicht, es mag eine andere Chargenherstellung vielleicht sein, aber ich bin höchst empfindlich für Geruch und kann schwören, hier stinkt gar nichts! Ich trage den Gurt NICHT auf der nackten Haut, das halte ich für völligen Quatsch den Gürtel damit dreckig zu machen. Da ich Wärmesalbe auf meinen Rücken schmiere, trage ich selbstredend ein Tshirt und dann erst den Gurt.Ich trage den Gurt auch nachts. Ich habe im Bett stets durch das Liegen und Seiten wechseln ENORME Schmerzen und habe deshalb etwas lockerer den Gurt drum. Die Wärme durch den Gurt und die Salbe sorgen zusätzlich für eine wohltuende extreme Wärme und ich kann hoch entspannt einschlafen und ruhen. Gleich nach der ersten Nacht: KAM ICH AUS DEM BETT ohne "einen Kran" ;-) es war besser geworden. Also, dieser stabile, hübsche!! und genau richtig breite Gürtel, ich habe eine Bauchweite 120 cm!!!, hat mir geholfen. Er lässt sich verstellen, nachdem er um den Bauch geschlossen wurde, durch Nachregulierung weiterer Streifen, die über den Rücken angebracht sind und ebenfalls über Klett veränderbar sind. - Ich habe vor, immer, wenn ich schon ein zwicken und zwacken an meiner Rückenstelle fühle, sofort den Gurt anzulegen und für Wärme und Entkrampfung zu sorgen. Entkrampfung der Muskel, weil mein Kopf weiß:"jetzt kann mir nichts mehr passieren, entspanne Dich" Wir wissen sicherlich alle, das Verkrampfungen der Muskeln vom Kopf und eben von Sorgen etc. kommen, die einen sich verkrampfen lassen, also scheint es mir logisch, auch etwas für die Kopf zu tun und lächeln zu können. Ich lächel, wenn ich jetzt gerade meinen Gurt geholt habe und mich auf meinem Bürostuhl gut fühle, nachdem ich vorhin wieder ein Zwicken spürte ;-)- Ich hoffe, dass ist eine nützliche Referenz für viele Betroffene :-) Bei weiteren Fragen an mich, antworte ich gerne.

I can wear this under my clothing and it is almost 100% undetectable with loose clothes. I walk a lot during the day and it helps support my back and minimizes pain at the end of the day. It is easy to put on and take off and comfortable enough to wear all day. It is lightweight but sturdy and supportive. Such a great purchase! I wish I would have bought it sooner.

Me ha llegado tarde, tenía que haber llegado el 31 y me ha entrado el día 4. La bolsa en la que viene se podría mejorar con una caja un poco más estético, Por lo demás fenomenal se adapta bien al cuerpo. Lo mejor es que no aprieta en el estomago, ni en la parte intestinal pero te permite ajustar la presión necesaria en la columna, espero que me dure muchos años por que es un producto con una eficiencia del 100%. Lo digo desde la experiencia que tengo desplazamiento de hernia discal, Lo curioso es que he recuperado fuerza en lo brazos y movilidad en las piernas. No quiere decir que pueda echar a correr, pero si que te da más estabilidad, es como si te diera un empujón y recuperases fuerza. RECOMIENDO: que os midáis bien el contorno por que la talla es muy importante para que sea eficaz, no cojáis tallas más pequeñas pensando que os va hacer más compresión y eso os va ayudar a perder tripa. Es un error que os va a perjudicar.
