Using movie studio-style advanced shadowing and occlusion techniques to benefit character rendering and overall pitch presentation, FIFA 18 delivers the most visually arresting and authentic football simulation ever.PLAYER CONTROLReal Player Motion Technology: The all-new, game-changing animation system utilizes pose trajectory matching on every frame to deliver the franchise’s most responsive and fluid gameplay ever. New motion capture techniques and frame by frame animation transitions ensure gameplay accurately represents the reality of football. Real Player Motion Tech is the catalyst for an increased fidelity in movement for every player on the pitch, immediately taking authenticity to another level. Player Personality: Six new character archetypes and new player mapping technology differentiate players on the pitch to give them their own distinct identity. For the first time ever, real-world movements, size and attributes inform how a player moves, allowing you to feel the life-like tendencies of the world’s best. Ronaldo’s signature sprint, Sterling’s unique turns, and Robben’s distinct arm movement are all immediately recognizable in FIFA 18.Dribbling Overhaul: In FIFA 18, you will run at defenders with confidence knowing that the best players can change direction on a dime. New dribbling mechanics enable players to inject more creativity into 1v1 situations. Take more defined touches, make tighter turns, and explode into attack more dynamically than ever before.Responsive: Creative on-ball skills, contextual touches, and a re-imagining of the control dribble mechanic give players new options when building up attacks in tight spaces. Change direction with ease and feel your player respond when you escape a defender lunging to tackle. Explosive: Authentic and dynamic speed-based animations allow you to explode more rapidly from controlled touches into full tilt sprints.TEAM STYLES AND POSITIONING New Player Positioning: With more freedom in motion, your teammates examine the pitch and react accordingly; darting forward in coordinated runs, or moving into space to provide consistent attacking support. New player positioning gives you a well-balanced and spread pitch with more opportunities in time and space to read the play.• Team Styles: A deep set of authentic playing styles attributed to several teams put the most-recognized tactics on the pitch in FIFA 18 - now in AI you will immediately recognize the tiki-taka of some of Europe’s best clubs or the high-pressing style of teams in the Premier League. Feel a change in defensive and attacking approaches every time you choose a new club or opponent.Dynamic Quick Substitutes: All-new context based substitution prompts allow players to easily make changes without pausing the match. Whether it's a missed chance, or necessary response to conceding a goal, you can instantly decide if a change is needed without visiting the menu.IMMERSIVE ATMOSPHERES Regional Atmospheres: Authentic sun positions, cinematic atmosphere grading, signature pitch-side fixtures, authentic broadcast overlays in La Liga and MLS, on-pitch debris, club and stadium specific banners, adaptive commentary, and changes in pitch quality all come together to bring the most immersive football experiences to life in FIFA 18.• High-Def Dynamic Crowds: All-new individual crowd reactions and expanded regional chant support have you feeding off the energy of your supporters. Hear authentic chants build as you mount an attack, incite realistic excitement when you score and even interact with the crowd while celebrating.DRAMATIC MOMENTS Wonder Goals: New locomotion and finishing animations unlock more fluid striking and heading, combining to increase the potential for more dramatic finishes. Player Personality ensures the heroes of the game stand tall in the biggest moments, finishing more often on the biggest stages.New Crossing Control: All-new crossing controls provide the player with a variety of options to put the ball into the box, creating dynamic attacking chances. Review: Great, but some advice for EA - I've played every fifa since 05, and for me it's by far the best. Best graphics, best career mode, best gameplay. Gameplay for me is key. Finally they have made player movement as response as it should be, and this explains the negative feedback. The vastly improved dribbling makes it difficult to defend, but that's how it should be. People saying it makes it unrealistic are wrong. If real footballers could be controlled from birds eye view and play perfect pass after perfect pass then all games would be high scoring! The defending is harder but that's how it should be, defenders in real life are not as agile as attackers. People complaining that the passing is too perfect? Ok well change the setting to semi or manual, the game offers the gamer a variety of settings to suit your needs. Most of the negative reviews are people who dislike change, or dislike being bad at the game. The only real criticism of the game is the difficulty settings. I play on legendary and it's just too easy. I can comfortably win the premier league and champions league every season with liverpool and that should not be a sentence that exists. Other small criticisms include: -the disparity in quality of the best and worst players could still be larger (league 2 players shouldn't control the ball as well as they do) -legendary difficulty is too predictable and all teams play like barcelona (why are west-brom trying to play tiki-taka?) -there should be separate tactics for attacking and defending (I want to play like pep guardiola but its impossible to use his tactics in fifa as pep has a very wide formation in attack. I need my wide players as close to the edge of the pitch as possible to open the space in the middle so I set the team width to 100. However it makes defending impossible as im too open in defense. If i could have seperate tactics for attack/defense then I could set team width when defending to 50)
Review: Don't know why this game is getting such criticism........ - I really don't understand why this game is getting such negative feedback. I was a PES fan until Fifa 15 came out when I switched. I think this current instalment is excellent. I can't comment on all the modes as I have only been playing "The Journey" but the game is very addictive and really enjoyable to play. The second instalment of "The Journey" is even better than last year and is very engaging. The gameplay is excellent and the movement of the players is brilliant but not perfect........much like real life. Yes you want players to make certain runs and sometimes they don't but that is just like real football. EA have improved the crossing function and now when you cross the ball, there is a lovely curl which is pleasing on the eye. My only criticism doesn't actually relate to the gameplay which is why I haven't given it 4 star. I love playing career mode and love creating my own player. Last year I was very disappointed that EA Sports got rid of the "Game Face" function but I have come to terms with it. What I don't understand is that in "The Journey" you can give Alex Hunter physical characteristics such as tattoos, which I have to say look pretty cool. What I don't understand is why in "The Journey" EA have allowed you to give Alex Hunter tattoos but when you create your character in Career, you can't. Seems a bit stupid seeing as the tattoo functionality is clearly there. That said, the game is still brilliant and very addictive.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alex Hunter extended and continued
*by A***7 on 30 September 2017*

Having being disappointed at Alex Hunter in fifa 17 being only one season im glad your able to continue on in fifa 18 where it ended. Having being loaned out to Norwich was great and then returning to Arsenal to go on and win the F.A. Cup im now happy to continue on getting Alex Hunter more trophies ... The graphics look good and looking forward to some gaming time.... Its good to see the original penalties are back as fifa 17 was a complete shambles with the new penalty taking so well done fifa on that. Now i personally play on semi-pro so my comments may be good or bad depending on what level you play as. On semi pro im finding some of the opponents have more intelligents than normal especially when im attacking, some certain defenders are blocking and desperate sliding to stop the ball going into the net if the ball has beaten the keeper....when i say desterate blocking or sliding tackles i mean in the same way Arsenals Tony Adams used to play or that ex Blackburn defender Samba i think his name was, many a times i think ive scored but havent to the excellent CPU defenders. The long through balls are also exciting when i pull it off. I also noticed in the settings you can now switch on Handball (excluding penalties) in the Rules which is interesting, noones been booked yet for it but its a added touch to the game. The home team being booed if theyre being slaughtered is pretty cool.... What i want to see in fifa 19..... Would love to see managers getting sacked if they keep losing or players refusing to play for some reason. I havent won a tournament at wembley on fifa 18 yet but id love to see teams walking up them famous steps as they pick up their winning/losing trophies....its what wembleys all about and would give it that little extra bit of real atmosphere. I want to see the medics and their stretchers come on the field especially if its a very serious injury.. Id like to see a fair few more teams with alternative kits rather than see old vintage kits that are locked and i think its time fifa introduced a 2nd kit for the keeper as sometimes there is a colour clash. My only 3 faults in the game is ..... 1. On player mode when in career...the opponents dont seem to attack very well but as soon as you go to team mode the teams become more challenging but thats been the same for a few games now as is no matter what team or league you begin with your always the same statistics on your created player, i normally play left midfield which makes me about 68 overall i think when i choose Arsenal in the premiership but why am i still a 68 overall if i choose to play in League 2? I started playing at Southend United in fifa 17 and was being picked for England when i became about 70-72 overall. I mean come on who ever gets picked to play in the first team for England whilst in League 1 or League 2? Its not realistic. I think if i wanted to play in championship then i should be about a 62 League One i should only be a 58 and maybe a 52-55 if im in League 2..... But saying all that and some new tips for fifa 19 or possibly 20 if any of the fifa makers are reading this...fifa 18 is still a good game and gets 4 stars from me even though theres no croatian or Japanese International teams. I love using croatia so very disappointed they are not included...
