BlueSnail Coffee Tamper 51mm

I have had this tamper for a while now and I have had no problems. It is very sturdy and has a lot of weight to it which is good. It first my Delonghi portafilter fine and I am happy with my investment. If you are a coffee enthusiast or make espressos regularly, this is a nice accessory to own. The handle screws off from the weight - not sure what the purpose of this was. Anyway, highly recommend

Brilliant piece of kit. Every cup of espresso is now reliable, unlike when I only had use of the plastic disc which hangs down under the coffee machine. The tamper is heavy (weighs about 600 gm), the right size for my dispenser, comfortable to hold and even beautiful to look at. It stands to reason that pressing upwards against a piece of plastic cannot compare with pressing downwards with a heavy piece of steel when it comes to degree of compression obtainable.

Very shiny, very heavy and fitted my Delonghi 820 absolutely perfectly. Previously we've been using the plastic Delonghi one we got with the machine. The difference this new tamper has made is remarkable and I'd honestly say its a must buy item.

This an excellent product, unfortunately the one I received had a small defect in the centre of the base, corrosion/cracking or perhaps a tooling fault. The Company were very polite and courteous. I tried to take a photo of the fault but because of the reflective surface the defect was masked by reflection. They asked me to return it and the packaging it came in but they provided no address to do this. I decided because the product was not that expensive I would just keep it as I believe it came from Hong Kong/USA? and waited some time to receive it in the first place. The product is an excellent tamper quite heavy and great for tamping the coffee. Had it not been for the defect in the base I would have given this 5*. Tiny Deal need to bring to the manufacturers attention to quality inspection of their products.

Cool tamper, works perfectly with my De'Longhi Dedica. I never had one of this, and it is way heavier than I anticipated - which is good, gives a good confidence when tampering your coffee. If you bought a Dedica, I highly recommend one of these. That plastic that comes with the machine is a joke compared to this cool piece of metal. Only downside is: I see a small damage on the side, probably because it is too heavy and the box was not able to hold it in place during the transportation.

I recently bought a Delonghi EC220, which has a tamper built into the machine. However, the built-in tamper is fussy to use and is a little small, which results in coffee escaping the portafilter and sitting on top of the tamper. This tamper is much easier to use and an much better fit (so no escaping grounds). The tamper is weighty, fits comfortably in my hand, and looks good. It's everything I want in a hand tamper -- an excellent product.

Precisely the correct size for a de Longhi 820 B ( and probably a good many other machines by that maker). It is quite hard to get a tamper of 51mm and this is by far the best, and also the cheapest. Beautifully finished and nice and heavy, in contrast to the wooden handled ones that sell for three times the price. Does the job and looks good.

Nice solid product. Feels comfortable in the hand and quite heavy. Much better than the plastic bit of rubbish that came with my De’Longhi EC685M coffee machine. It is also a better fit and allows you to produce a firm puck that produces a better brew & seems to knock out of the basket more easily.

Very happy with purchase: nice, sturdy and heavy.
