**Q: Would this be too advanced for a 13 year old?  He has a raspberry pi and likes coding eg Python & Java. Has just started soldering/electronics. Thanks**
A: Absolutely. If he's already familiar with coding, this would be fine. You might look at raspberry pi alternatives as they have add ons which could do the same as arduino and more. Personally I think arduino is more fun as it combines the electronics side much more.  I'd definately recommend it.

**Q: I want to buy this gift for my dad, who is a pro software developer and programmer. Would this be appropriate for an adult beginner with electronics?**
A: The starter kit comes with an in-depth guide which is great for beginners. Also youtube has a lot of videos and guides also to help

A: As far as I can tell these are genuine components. I would recommend this kit, although I have not had much time to play with it is has been good fun.Regards,Richard
