I bought this to record videos of myself.
I have joined an online competition group where you enter by posting up a video of yourself doing the set challenge. You need to have your full body from feet to above head in the frame. Putting my mobile phone on the floor leaning against the wall didn't work well. It also holds the phone at an easier to view angle for using my interval timer app for exercise workouts. This is great. It holds the phone secure in cushioned 'jaws' so the phone isn't scratched. I have dropped a star for them being too secure; with my athritic fingers it is a job to get on and off. After a while I stopped taking it off and (serendipity) found it easier to hold the "slippery little sucker" using it as a handle. You can have it portrait or landscape. There are screws/plates to allow you to use it with small video camera. The little legs allow the power cable to be attatched to the phone and not cause it to move or fall over. You can alter the angle of the attatched phone etc by loosening thumbscrews, realigning and tightening to keep in place. The legs can be moved every which way or curled round things. There are directions to the website/youtube for instructions on how to use it. It is good value/quality for money, came quickly, well packed, and easy to open. I am pleased with my purchase. Update: with being in lockdown I am using this for a lot more than the originial thing that I bought it for. We are keeping in touch with family in video chats and it's more comfortable just sitting in front of the phone than holding it up and away so my hand/arm doesn't get tired either. Just a quick adjustment to landscape and we can both sit comfortably side by side on the settee. I am also doing demonstration video blogs and with it I have both hands free, and the 'curly' legs mean I can hang/fix it in any place to get the best shot of what I'm doing. Warning: I thought all three legs swiveled in the top joint but have found out that the back one is fixed. After 15 months of almost daily use and adjustment this leg has broken, but it was my fault. I was so pleased with this wee tripod I am ordering another ... and this time looking at the instructions video! It's a great gadget at a great price.

Excellent stability for large phones—ideal for eBay listings
Review: I bought this compact tripod mount specifically to hold my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra while taking photos of items for eBay. If you own a larger, heavier smartphone, you will know how difficult it can be to find a budget-friendly mount that doesn't droop or wobble. This one handles the weight brilliantly. The Good: Secure Grip: The spring mechanism is tight and securely clamps onto the S24 Ultra, even with a protective case on. It feels completely safe and doesn't slip during long shooting sessions. Eliminates Camera Shake: When taking close-up shots of smaller items for online listings, even the slightest hand tremor can cause blur. Using this on a tabletop tripod keeps the camera perfectly still, allowing the phone's sensor to capture maximum detail. Compact and Portable: It takes up next to no space on the desk and fits easily into a drawer or camera bag when not in use. Things to Bear in Mind: Landscape to Portrait: Because of the way the mount is designed, changing the orientation means you have to adjust the tripod head itself rather than just twisting the clamp, which takes a few extra seconds. Build Quality: It is made of lightweight plastic, so it doesn't feel like a premium piece of studio gear, but for the price point, the functionality is absolutely spot on. If you need a reliable, fuss-free way to steady your phone for product photography, this is a fantastic value tool that gets the job done.

Great for stop motion
My son likes this item. This is his third one. They don't last forever, but to be fair, he is pushing his to the limits with stop motion lego filming.

Does What You'd Expect a Tripod of This Quality to do
First off I'd like to start by saying: If you're after a mobile tripod for VERY basic photography, this will do the job and is worth buying. The flexibility of the legs add a surprising amount of versatility to the kind of shots you can take, and overall it does well to stabilise the phone you're using (I'm using a Galaxy Note 10+ a MASSIVE heavy beast of a phone, and it can handle it) It is worth noting however, if it's particularly windy out, this will fall short to keep itself completely steady, but equally as I said this is for very basic photography. I personally have been using it for long exposure shots of the sky at night and I must say the value of having a simple tripod to hold my phone steady while my phone takes its 10/15/30 second shots has been immeasurable, albeit normally needing to take a few pictures before getting one that's completely still. But in the few shots I've taken I've more than gotten my money's worth out of this. And bonus points for it are I've also found it surprisingly useful for selfies and video conference calls. The only real downsides to this can come from expectations and one other thing, this is still a very cheap tripod. While all the stuff I've noted have been great, that's kind of to be expected from owning any tripod really (I mean, that's the point of them after all!) The one other thing: The ball on top only really let's you move the phone up and down to a 90° angle, I'd like some more diversity in that realistically. It's not made of the strongest materials, but like I said at the start - it does the job and my verdict is you're not likely to be disappointed as long as you respectfully understand, you're getting what you pay for here. However in hindsight, given that I can see myself taking a lot more photos and using this a lot more frequently, I personally (stress personally!) would have probably invested in a slightly more expensive one, and probably will.

Very good for the price
I basically wnated something cheap to try and use a couplf of old mobile phones for time lapse photography. Obviously I didn't want to spend a fortune to discover that it wouldn't work. So these a decent for the job, around six inches high to the screw when the legs are spread out for stability they are a useful size, the movable/removable phone clamp is sturdy and secure, the thumbscrew for tilt adjustment is good. Cost considered this is a good little desktop/windowsill tripod, it's stable, secure and easy to use. compact enough to fit into a bag or pocket, light enough no to be a burden. I've had Sony Experia, Motorola G6 and Oppo Find X5 pro fitted, all without issues and have discovered that they will take the weight of a timelapse camera, no small item and it takes 12 AA batteries so it's quite heavy too, with no issues. I have had worse that cost more, surprisingly good :)

Functional and does the job.
It works well but lacks weight so can be front heavy once the phone is attached which can make balancing difficult. It doesn’t adapt in height but the rubber feet help with grip when setting up. Considering how cheap it is (and I bought it for simple tasks ): I can’t complain. It did exactly what I needed it to.
